The rise of sophisticated AI could be really great for health care. Hopefully we won't programme them with a misguided sense of superiority.

Didn't read the link but rote memorization and recall is only part of an excellent heuristic analysis system. Experience and intelligence is the difference between knowledge and effective utilization.
If i'm wrong then this robot should take over medical research and make humans obsolete in short order. Then we will have rapid cures for our worst diseases, from ME/CFS to cancer to Parkinsons to Alzheimers and so on.

We already have a cure for all diseases, it's called cremation, but we don't tend to use it on the living coz we have ethics, do Chinese robots have ethics?

Public Relations - don't worry! It wouldn't surprise me if the article was largely based on a press-release.

Sorry I should have got that one, but my mind went off in a rather odd direction!
