    This is really not an accurate statement, though. They're not 'linked', they're described as such. Based on a circular definition consisting of having the symptoms that define those conditions. Exact same as with psychosomatic, functional, and every other identical label they use to describe the same thing. They even acknowledge this in the same paragraph:
    So why describe this inaccurately? This is not a 'link' found through data or some scientific process, it's a description based on lack on understanding.
    Again this is just because some people decided to describe it this way. This is just speculative opinion, not the result of a rigorous process. It's entirely circular reasoning. And then there's the idea where something 'can' be explained as if it means something. Astrology can explain everything. It just doesn't. But there is nothing that says that it can't.

    You don't get anywhere with circular reasoning. Ever. Not even accidentally. Not a single accidental discovery in history happened through circular reasoning.
