Blog: Stumbling Into Normality: "The Chronic Illness Inclusion Project and a Focus Group Response"

For some months now I’ve been involved in the Chronic Illness Inclusion Project (CIIP). If you have a chronic illness, of any kind, I can’t recommend you checking out this link strongly enough, they’re doing a lot of great work especially in the area of giving chronically ill people of particular types a common language and set of definitions to communicate the particular issues we face. That kind of common language is important for helping define and talk about policy.

I was lucky enough to be selected for the focus group where we’ve been answering questions about our experiences. One of my answers that talks generally about what it’s like to have chronic illness and try to interact with society seemed to get some positive feedback from other group members as a decent summary of many of the problems we face so I thought I’d share it here.
