Article claiming acupuncture on parents would treat their kids through quantum entanglement has been retracted. Retraction Watch, April 2019

Surely in order to treat your child using quantum entanglement you'd need another seemingly identical child, and to treat them?

I'm also not quite sure how, in conventional terms, you'd tell the 2 children apart.

So you would never know what you were doing, if you were in fact doing it.

Maybe it was meant to be a joke. That is just beyond bizarre.
If the British Medical Journal can publish a paper on a "treatment" created by a guy who diagnoses with Tarot cards and consists of yelling at your symptoms to make them go away... at this point the ridiculous has been so fully normalized that it was most likely seriously.

Medicine is under some sort of growing pains right now. Expect more absurdity before this is over.

probably sympathetic magic.

example: walnuts for your brain because it looks like a brain.

example: causing/curing diseases by cognitions about those diseases.
