Because of course, it's always a problem coming from patients resisting therapy, and never an issue of unadapted or inefficient treatment...

ME/CFS patients are certainly CBT resistant. Mostly because it doesn't work for this condition.

And by 'mostly', I mean entirely.

They are not interested in knowing that treatment resistance is because the treatments are based on flawed theories which is why they work poorly.
If the real cause of ulcers had not been determined not so long ago they would be talking about its treatment resistance...

Could it be that the concept of the conference is a bit muddled or is it my understanding of the distinct meanings of "treatment resistance" which is muddled?

Some parts of the programm seem to me to address "treatment resistance" rather in the sense of a failure to respond to treatment, not in the sense of patients' refusal to receive a recommended treatment?

Just like those darn diabetic patients so resistant to sugar. They will sometimes literally refuse to take any! Why don't they just enjoy it like the rest of us normies?!
