Resources for help getting food during quarantine and safe handling of food

That is a lot of food for 1 week, for 1 person, and certainly much higher quality than the UK government gave us, on the occasions they actually bothered to deliver it.

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

So.....my 2 jabs of AZ are seen as largely ineffective against infection by omicron (which makes it extra special that people, who have had just these, are no longer seen as needing to isolate in the UK, when omicron is basically the only game in town), and my booster, received mid October, is...

Will it ever be reasonably safe for PwME to go back into society, post-Covid?

I would have thought that would be related to the r value, and population density. My reasoning is that if the r value is low enough then severe variants will kill their hosts, and therefore be less successful than less serious ones. Over time you'd probably end up with less serious viruses...

Long COVID risk - a signal to address sex hormones and women's health, 2021, Stuart Stewart et al

I've done a little reading and it seems oestrogen is seen as protective against some viruses, so it looks like they pretty much tried to see if it was also protective against covid/LC (unclear which or if both as the info may be uninterpretable, by me, in the more technical paper below). The...

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

Given that, as far as I have seen, virtually every other report/study on long covid concludes the opposite, that disease severity does not correlate with long covid, I can only assume that they are using a definition of long covid slanted towards complications of hospital treatment, organ...

Long COVID risk - a signal to address sex hormones and women's health, 2021, Stuart Stewart et al

Tonight I was made aware of this 'study'. It is being floated as an explanation for long covid, by at least one GP (my sisters). https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanepe/article/PIIS2666-7762(21)00228-3/fulltext (no abstract available) Sample (edited to introduce paragraphs/spacing); It...

Paul Garner on Long Covid and ME/CFS - BMJ articles and other media.

Surely doing such a thing could be seen as against some law or other? As current thinking suggests thought exists primarily in brains, therefore in order to stand any chance of bottling his positive thoughts...... The whole thing sounds legally, and practically, dubious to me ;)

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

The lack of any 'tracing' is probably a pretty clear indication of intent. Intent to do nothing. Why would they, it's just a few unproven cases, and no one can prove otherwise, coz the authorities aren't collecting data. Several million patient reports is anecdotal, not evidence (that they see...

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

Isn't the point of the booster to be different from what's been used before tho? So as to give a broader range of 'something'?

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

Nice day out, getting infected themselves, whilst 'good doing' for them, I would expect. I expect the bus had been modified to socially distance all the seats, and the gangway allowed people to pass whilst a meter plus apart?

NICE and Cochrane sign collaborative agreement to deliver ‘living’ guideline recommendations

So that's making breakfast sorted, what do they suggest she do for making lunch and dinner lol

Paul Garner on Long Covid and ME/CFS - BMJ articles and other media.

Doesn't seem to work as intended when they allow the people who did the original 'research' to determine how good the evidence, of their own research, is. Or when the organisations values have been supplanted by dogma and belief rather than the critical thinking and evaluation they state should...

SARS-CoV-2 spike protein S1 induces fibrin(ogen) resistant to fibrinolysis: implications for microclot formation in COVID-19, 2021, Grobbelaar et al

This spike protein, that would presumbly be basically the same thing as we are injecting onto people as vaccines, to train the immune system to recognise covid 19? Otherwise the vaccines wouldn't work?

ME/CFS services in the United Kingdom

Given the new guidelines IMO they should not be trying to recruit in order to continue/increase using the approach outlined in the job description; https://www.healthjobsuk.com/documents?vdoc=5614996 IMO this is appalling. It was appalling before the new guidelines, but doubly so now.

ME/CFS services in the United Kingdom

Surely the workload for this job will be non existent? CFS/ME doesn't exist (since the new guidelines) and people with covid 19 are either supposed to be isolating, or if more serious, in hospital. 'Have experienced covid-19'? but there is no name for this? Baring in mind that at some point...
