'Shaking and trembling with ME/CFS' - Chronically Hopeful

Yes. But I have had muscle weakness for many years and the vibrating is within the last 6 months or so.

Kelly McLellan seeks feedback on his draft Edinburgh ME Scale

I like it. I just started at the bottom and read upwards until I found my level. If it looked like I could do more than what I began reading I just popped up to the next level. I am 25%.

'Shaking and trembling with ME/CFS' - Chronically Hopeful

I use Tizanidine to sleep but I don't think it is helping on it's own as I can be awake for some hours after taking it without change but once the medication eases me into sleep the vibrating is gone the next morning.

'Shaking and trembling with ME/CFS' - Chronically Hopeful

YES! YES! But mine is strongest in the feet and legs into my hips getting less into my torso and arms. And it is INSIDE!

I never read or heard that before.

    Question concerning XMRV

Gee sorry, at the time I was living through my 30th year of being sick, all but bedridden, my mother having to be put into LTC with dimentia, living with my mentally ill sister, trying to move to the SW, and just ending a six year battle with disability. I couldn't have followed anything anyway...

    Question concerning XMRV

Spit it out or stop replying to me. I do know that I heard of XMRV when the news first broke and never bought into it without being in the loop with ME/CFS forums and Twitter. Never. It just made no sense that I had a "mouse virus".

    Question concerning XMRV

I read the comments section. But do tell. In fact, she was dead on right.

    Question concerning XMRV

She was perceived as evil, cruel, trying to thwart CFS research, etc. No?

    Question concerning XMRV

So, buried somewhere in one of the Abbie Smith blog posts is this: Human blood serum NEUTRALIZES XMRV, it just does NOT infect humans. Also, I believe it was Silverman (don't hold me to that) that SENT XMRV to Mikovitz for her research. Well, the XMRV already had a mutation. So when Silverman...

    Question concerning XMRV

Hi, @Inara. I didn't read every page but I do enjoy reviewing from time to time an analysis of the Mikovitz findings done by Abbie Smith. (It's pretty brutal and includes science I don't understand although she is good at explaining things.) MEpedia> XMRV > Learn more > Abbie Smith ERV blog...

Errors Trigger Retraction Of Study On Mediterranean Diet's Heart Benefits - NPR

Errors Trigger Retraction Of The Study On Mediterranean Diet's Heart Benefits I just thought I would post this as it is an example of doing the right thing when it is discovered there was a wrong conclusion stated in research.

Systemic exertion intolerance disease diagnostic criteria applied on an adolescent chronic fatigue syndrome cohort - Wyller et al (2018)

Just posting this for my own notes: The first thing that jumped out at me was this: METHODS DESIGN - "Data were collected between March 2010 and October 2012." Then I read this: STRENGTHS and LIMITATIONS: "...data acquisition in the NorCAPITAL project was carried out before the SEID criteria...

Analysis of data from 500k individuals in UK Biobank shows an inherited component to ME/CFS (Ponting blog)

I think people have been misdiagnosed. And that is pretty much how I viewed this biobank and ME/CFS, patients misdiagnosed resulting in bad data.
