Article: Study gave me purpose when the future seemed bleak Jan 2020

I had just started studying with the OU in 1994 when my world collapsed (with the suspicious disappearance of my favourite cat), and my immediate boss was so unsympathetic that I walked out of my job. Poverty ensued as, try as I might, I couldn't get another job. But I carried on with my...

Tinnitus Poll : Making a distinction of subtypes

I haven't checked to see if this has already been discussed, but I seem to get tinnitus (much?) less often if I put cotton wool in my ears before washing my hair. Avoiding getting gunge in there or poking with fingers or anything else also seems to help. It seems to cause a build-up of stuff...

    Hearing things?

I heard voices for about a year after coming off addictive drugs, in the late 1970s or early 1980s. They then stopped quite suddenly. I called them 'my aliens'. I didn't mind them at all! (They seemed friendly and informative.) It was before getting ME.

Gabapentinoids Linked to Respiratory Problems in Certain Patients

Kaolin and morphine appears to have been banned - can't get it any more (at least last time I tried). Goodness knows why - because of a tiny amount of morphine? I always used to keep some in case of an attack of diarrhoea. Eventually there was only a disgusting-tasting version, and then nothing.

Do ME symptoms fit with the faulty energy metabolism hypothesis?

Thanks, @Wonko. I have curry most days and it contains cumin. Previously I used proper spices including cumin when cooking. No noticeable effect...or was there? How much do you use, @Creekside?
