"The denouement". My answer to prof. Knoop.

Conflating of chronic fatigue with ME It's amazing that "professor" and "evidence based" are part of Knoop's title description

Dutch Health Council on ME/CFS tomorrow on national news

Me too of course but Knoop and Rosmalen. 2 of the members are friends with the PACE authors, Per Fink, Crawley etc. So yeah it was kind of mission impossible as 4 of the 7 clinicians were BPSers. CBT has indeed a GET component to it so GET is still around. Blijenberg his little creation...

I feel this one is very important for all of us. Like David Tuller said if it's any good then it could have an effect on the rest of Europe and world

Tonight on Dutch TV - ME / CFS documentary

Thanks for all the nice comments. We all expected more. Sadly it didn't really deliver but I do think CBT was given a question mark. Until recently that rarely happened. Let's hope the media will keep trying to get the story right.

A Life Hidden - Blog posts by Naomi Whittingham

I'm happy her blog is well received. I felt it was important to share her thoughts and wisdom with everyone but I can't help but feeling angry about the situation with ME as well... Thank you for sharing it!!

Efficacy of web-based cognitive–behavioural therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome: randomised controlled trial (2018) Knoop

Yeah, they (Blijenberg) don't want anyone in the trials that are fighting for their benefits. It's considered a perpetuating factor. Disability means you have a chronic illness.

Efficacy of web-based cognitive–behavioural therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome: randomised controlled trial (2018) Knoop

That's a good question. I haven't read this paper but normally Blijenberg will do stuff like that. I've seen it in other studies like this one. Although it's not for CFS...

Efficacy of web-based cognitive–behavioural therapy for chronic fatigue syndrome: randomised controlled trial (2018) Knoop

They combine CBT with a GET component. So they say CBT is effective but really its CBT and GET.

    "Exquisite sensitivity to medication"

Ì have to up meds with 1/32th of a pil. Even that is way too high. Really annoying. Can't reach a real good therapeutic dose like that.
