Is it worth my effort to try to get changes (and guidelines that are needed made) of government guidelines for COVID?

Dear @Yessica, I can't help you I'm sorry. But just wanted to stop by and give you some Positive Vibes and some hugs.   So very sorry you're having such a difficult time.

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

So this isn't really looking at the long-haulers, as it's only tracking patients who were admitted to hospital. From what I can make out most of the long-haulers weren't badly affected enough to be admitted to hospital, but stayed at home. So I don't think we're going to find the risk factor for...

UK - NHS England online tool and clinics for long Covid.

    Harvard Health CFS website content

Prob want to keep vexatious patients out from reading whatever it is they wrote? Thanks for the alert anyway. Even when we can't read the full stuff it's interesting to see how they prevent us seeing information. I wonder how often this will happen... I know lots of med stuff is behind...

BMJ Archives of Diseases in Childhood: ''Editor’s note on correction to Crawley et al. (2018)'', 2019, Nick Brown. (SMILE LP Trial)

The article is from April 2008. There should be more up to date stuff available. (I recognised John Greensmith's name. I hope he's OK, he disappeared from the scene ages ago)

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

Nice thing about it is that it is actually possible to self propel. I wouldn't have the energy for on grass, but might a bit on tarmac. Or in an art gallery or museum assuming we can ever get back into them.

New Swine Flu with pandemic potential, July 2020

I'm sorry this is a long post! There's a new Swine Flu arriving, which may have pandemic potential. This is what I received from ProMED-mail earlier today. Sorry to be bearer of bad news! But better we know than don't know.

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

I forgot this thread was here! Last summer I finally indulged in a beach/off-road wheelchair. When we had to rush back from the caravan in March as Wales closed down I had to leave it at the caravan, as it seemed more important to bring back my ghastly upright one that has solid wheels (ouch...

    Who is Simon Wessely?

Went to look, found I'd blocked them! Had a brief look (you can see without unblocking, which I didn't know before) and remember why I blocked them!

Question: Coronavirus & home sewn masks?

These aren't home sewn masks, but if you just need some sort of face covering these might be interesting... From SeaSalt. Especially since you can use them as neck warmers, Alice bands, or head coverings as well - the patterns are nice too. I've bought some of these, the patterns are nice...

Open The impact of food on cognition: Potential implications for brain fog in ME;24 June 2020 online

I'm too old. What is it with these people excluding older patients? Plus I wouldn't regard myself as "mild" ME either. They should be looking at moderate cases, who would probably be only to happy to take part, even if it did mean crashing. If only "mild" cases are looked at it probably won't...

RCGP Online Zoom Call - Covid-19: A lifestyle disease

Hmmm, people on Twitter are calling for a video of him doing press ups - just cos you can do a single one as pictured on Daily Mail this morning doesn't really count for anything! He's obviously still very unfit - you only have to look at him on PMQs. (Our chosen entertainment every Wed lunchtime!)

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

Bit late for us though isn't it? Aaah, the poor post Covid patients, we feel so sorry for them. ME patients? Undeserving benefit scroungers who are psych cases. Sorry, my cynicism is coming out here.

The biology of coronavirus COVID-19 - including research and treatments

So if our immune system as ancient and decrepit people is so crap, why do they insist on offering us flu vaccine every year? OK, I get that flu isn't Covid, and maybe the Covid vaccine will act differently to flu vaccine, but article seems to be arguing that it's pointless giving any oldies any...
