Very useful information. I have now highlighted that on Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, Bluesky, Mastodon, Instagram and Threads.
(Did the Twitter post a bit earlier today and it is getting quite a lot of traction in different forms).
Initially I had just shared a DecodeME post with the comment. But the information about the 3900 kits could get removed if re-shared so have now posted it as a new post here:
Or go to my Facebook page:
I've just shared this to a number of my social media channels:
Attention: just 2 weeks left to return your spit kit. A few months ago there were thousands still out there. Because of the number of genes, the bigger the sample size the more informative the study so the more that are returned...
I suggested that in this post on Twitter/X
21k views and 22 hours later no one has corrected that view.
ETA: I have just seen we sort of cross-posted as you had just seen that on Twitter/X.
Disappointingly we didn't get to use it in the end.
I expected the information bundle to weigh 90 g but what came back from the printers weighed 106 g. They didn't seem to use the 80gsm paper for some of the order.
So one page had to go to keep the weight at 100 g, the postage limit, and this...
OK. Some subtlety can be lost in a social media post where there is a short character limit. I also want to motivate people to act and either sign up or encourage others to and not sit on their laurels.

Incidentally none of us live in the US.
Technical note: Facebook ads can only be around 30% text including comments by the advertiser included with the image. That's why I didn't promote the other, text-heavy image for this study.
I've just paid for a Facebook ad to try to recruit a this study.

Somebody who had Facebook ad credits previously donated many to me for use for the ME/CFS cause.
So have done this previously for other ME/CFS research studies, but I no longer have longer to those credits so this is the first time I've paid for an ad with my own money.
Advocacy idea: Pay for ads to advertise medical research studies that are struggling to recruit.
I've just done this for a 35km radius around Boston in Massachusetts on Facebook for Michael VanElzakker's interesting study
Michael VanElzakker posted this on Oct 22 after a similar Covid study...
