Will The UK Establishment Finally Stop Denying The Reality Of ME? Huff Post

The PACE Scandal also demonstrates the powerful forces at work. PACE was a research programme to test two 'therapies' for people with ME - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Graded Exercise Therapy (GET). Although these therapies did not prove effective, researchers amended the rules of the...

How to find a lightweight duvet?

Yes I'm in the UK. I was really surprised that the duvet keeps me warm enough most of the year, I thought I'd need to use a different one for winter. It wouldn't be enough without my bedspread, which is quilted cotton so has a bit of weight to it. I bought it with the intention of just using...

How to find a lightweight duvet?

After sleepless nights form being too hot and suffering pain from the weight of the duvet I eventually purchased a 2.5 tog bamboo duvet. It's heavenly. I use it all year round, I just use a bedspread on top for the cooler months. Expensive but worth it for the comfort...

Are there symptoms you had in the early stages of ME that you no longer get?

Wow, I've heard so many times of people developing horrible symptoms after vaccines. I'll never have another one for anything, I'd rather take my chances with the 'flu or whatever.

Are there symptoms you had in the early stages of ME that you no longer get?

I'm not sure, I was having a lot of neuro symptoms at the time following the Tetanus/Polio vaccine the GP insisted on when I moved there. Autonomic issues are always present too, so it all gets a little confusing.

Are there symptoms you had in the early stages of ME that you no longer get?

It's awful isn't it, I had quite a spell of having to go up stairs on my hands and knees. I can remember being in tears sometimes just from the exhaustion and effort of it. I also remember the feeling of my head being squeezed, like having a clamp around it getting tighter and tighter...

Are there symptoms you had in the early stages of ME that you no longer get?

I had a lot of muscle twitching at first, doesn't happen that often nowadays. I don't remember having pain at the beginning, but it's a real issue now. I've had nausea in the past too and a spell of almost constant pins and needles in one arm.

Esther Crawley talk at TEDxBristol, Thurs 2nd Bristol - "Disrupting Your View Of ME"

The ME community needs to take action against this narrative, writing to Holgate is pointless. I don't understand why she is being allowed to discuss 'nasty patients being horrible to her', what does that achieve educationally for students who listen? Not worded very well, I'm too furious...
