Trying to schedule different meds etc is a pain in the butt.

Yes, my levothyroxine is taken 1/2 hr. prior to eating. I think that is the only medication I have that revolves around food. My cholesterol medication can't be taken with grape fruit juice. Like that's going to happen. :wtf:

    The $100 million challenge

Very much this. I don't understand why more research isn't in off-label and even for brand drugs that were developed for certain illnesses. Cymbalta is not a drug that works on Fibromyalgia. It is mainly for depression with pain and that is why psychiatrists most often were the doctors that...

L-dopa for ME/CFS? Prescribed for a Patient on Twitter

ME/CFS patient on Twitter prescribed L-dopa. I am thinking this is a pretty risky drug to utilize considering what it does to Parkinson's patients long-term. Any thoughts? The L-dopa Conundrum via Journal of Parkinson's Disease, August 26, 2013 Just an added note, Lewy Body Dementia is...

The New York Times: Why Doctors Still Offer Treatments That May Not Help

Cymbalta! It made my Fibromyalgia pain and cognition worsen and I have read it does it to others. Psychiatrists prescribe it for "Fibromyalgia patients" and many people with depression w/ pain were misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

Altered microbiome composition in individuals with fibromyalgia, 2019, Minerbi et al.

My sister asked me to try a pro-biotic. She said not that it can resolve FM or ME/CFS but maybe my IBS and might get some sort of immune system support and that it was being said emotions and so on are impacted by gut bacteria. So, I tried it and right away my IBS is better and I don't have to...

Do all ME / CFS sufferers have low stamina?

Me neither. At the time had already developed Fibro (started with lower and upper body back pain) and I think it puts one at risk for developing ME/CFS. At age 55 they found I had congenital scoliosis, a very mild case. I believe Fibro puts one at risk of developing ME/CFS and they say RA...

    Efficacy of supplements

I only benefited in bringing my B12 and potassium up to normal for blood tests and D3 w/ K2 helped with some pain resulting in the D deficiency. But, high levels of a good brand of fish oil helped me be able to read again as I couldn't get through even a paragraph of information.
