After a little over a year of use (so out of warranty) the silicon strap has broken on my garmin vivosmart 3. So far I've been unable to find a replacement strap for sale. Garmin will refit one themselves at a cost of £70/$89US. They're currently selling this model as a sale item for £69. I feel...
Someone please say yes.
eta -though maybe that should wait til cochrane have decided which group CFS should belong in. Also I know many people are stretched.
Hello @Puppylover, and welcome to the forum! I hope you like it here, there's lot's of good info and members are helpful :).
I'm glad you asked your question. I have to tell you taking hydrogen peroxide is a bad idea. There is no scientific basis for it to be effective and it's potentially very...
I did, actually. It does look kind of fun, and the video actually made me laugh. I doubt they'll be adding to our understanding of the universe anytime soon.
"Modern research with mediums" - So we're not allowed to duck them with the witches in the village pond any more?
"Data was collected from 5 Windbridge Certified Research Mediums"
I love this sentence. There's a world of possibility for the imagination in it. I almost wish I could read the...
Did they ask any young people with 'CFS' what their experience was? No. Anyone can express good intentions, but reality can be very different. I fail to see the usefulness of this study.
Sorry don't know if Vink sent his paper to Cochrane. If I remember his paper correctly it was an analysis of the current Cochrane review highlighting the problems with it, rather than bringing in more recent literature literature. Have I understood your question properly? My brain isn't at all...
I'm very glad to read this point being made in national newspaper. The author makes so many good points. It's an excellent article, thank you to the author.
When answering a question about the origin of life Dawkins suggested it might be due to seeding by extraterrestrials. I find that hugely problematic, rather like the belief that the earth sits on a succession of turtles - turtles all the way down.
Withdrawing this review against Larun's wishes ought to encourage other reviewers to at least stick to Cochrane's guidelines rather than pleasing themselves. Larun and co didn't do that.
It's a pity someone else doesn't submit an alternative review, basically saying this
It would have the...
So what needs improving?
I'm tempted to say the that ME world doesn't revolve around OMF.
OMF have done very well in the amount they've raised. That's great! They're not actually asking for more money than that at present, though I'm sure they'd be pleased toget it. If more than 3,000 people...
That's a great result for OMF.
OMF aren't the only ME charity who've been having a fundraising drive at this time, which is also the lead up to christmas, which is a time of extra costs for some people. Many will be donating elsewhere or just don't have the money. Lots of non -ME charities...
Thanks @wdb.
I think I've seen that wikipedia entry before and think there was a previous discussion. Vague memory. I probably took part in it too . I've got the brain of a fish.
(but fish do actually have functioning memories (+ feel pain and fear) according to some research, which...
Thinking about this sentence. Is it the last major disease we know almost nothing about? genuine question. I've heard or read Ron Davis say this, and I understand where he's coming from, but I don't know that it is.
I was surprised that for example migraine is in the WHO's list of top ten most...
