The effects of warm water immersion on blood pressure, heart rate and heart rate variability in people with CFS, 2018, Parker et al

(Foggy head, I may be missing something...? They didn't collect data on how this change in heart-rate affected the ME-patients? Not during, directly after or the following day. Then they can't conclude this to be a possible treatment, without measuring anything else then the change in heart...

Emotional Regulation in Women with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Depression: Internal Representations and Adaptive Defenses 2018

Well, yeah - the sicker I am, the more flat my emotions are as well, and my ability to express myself. Everything takes energy. Why on earth are these sort of studies always taking it for granted correlation is evidence for cause and effect - in their own preferred direction?

From the article in Ugetidsskriftet, it's still uncertain wether or not they can remove him from Nordic Cochrane:

LP coach on research, Lightning Process and ME (Norway)

This is what we have been up against, for two decades now....? It's really hard to explaine the impact Landmark has had on the opinion about ME i Norway, and even distorted healthcare workers and doctors. People actually belive LP can cure or help ME-patients over here, because that is the...

Petition against National Competence center for CFS/ME with BPS approach in Norway - anyone can sign

But we have a problem in Norway, that patients advocates haven't adressed yet (not me either). The competence service is hiding behind the papers by Wyller and - ehm - can't remember names now., but "the ususal suspects"...? Claiming there is no difference between patients selected by different...

    Concerns about Cochrane

I'm not buying it. There seems to be a devide between the center leaders and the central board members, located in London. Can't find the source for it now, but am sure I read somewhere the other members leaving the board in sympathi were also center leaders....? Leaving the remaining board to...

    Concerns about Cochrane

Foggy head, not sure if I'm misreading you? But that quoted comment about PACE wasn't by Bastian, it's from the comment section under the blog, someone named Caroline Struthers. Not sure if this is the same person https://www.csm.ox.ac.uk/team/caroline-struthers But if so, she is also involved...

    Concerns about Cochrane

This bit: Is really the essence here, isn't it? Both sides probably agree on that point - even we as bystanders. To me, that statement reads as this has everything to do with scientific debate etc - but loyalty to Cochrane and the board must come first and foremost, is the remaining boards...

Ronald W. Davis, PhD's presentation at the IIMEC13

A random citation :) Don't know much about how these things work, but been wondering about this molecule. Could it be some of the reason for why salt water infusions give some patients some symptom relief - by diluting the blood and lessen it's impact....?

    Concerns about Cochrane

And why do they keep saying "method purist" as it's a bad thing - shouldn't all researchers strive to be....? Well, I do realize they're implying "method therrorist" pestering other people about their research practices. (Or, also known as scientific debate.) But as a bystander, all I'm left...

    Concerns about Cochrane

Since so few of the Cochrane members even bothers to vote, hardly anyone - 2.7 %, it looks to me the majority of members just don't want to engange in or be bothered by these sorts of politics policy-making decisions. They are there for the science bits - someone else go figure out the rest and...

Upcoming book: CLASSIC PACING - For a better life with ME

I'm not sure how it's covered in the the chapters, as I've only skimmed through. But the forms and scales does separate mental og physical capacity - one of the few places I've seen where it's not assumed the two follow the same path.

Upcoming book: CLASSIC PACING - For a better life with ME

For a long time patient, the book probably isn't that helpful. But it's a book I would have found tremendoulsy helpful starting out on this journey. When I was trying to make sense of my own limits and a body that didn't respond in a way I was used to. And could be really helpful for caregivers...
