    Guideline "Tiredness" by DEGAM

Can you reference to what they said? Seems the connections to the BPS group is correct, at last. Edit: I see you did on the other thread.

Thanks @Philipp, that is very constructive! I seriously do consider to contact Gysi's office, BUT I am not sure whether he is the right person (he and his colleagues are into the (medical) criminal law...) and I am certain he does take a lot more than 300€ or so per hour. Hm... I came across...

    Proposed Letter to NICE

Wow :jawdrop: I don't know the NICE system and their regulatories. But it could be a direction, to use their rules "against them".

    Proposed Letter to NICE

Honestly, doesn't sound very promising. Actually they're saying "We do as we want...ahem...as the rules say". Sad. :( Nonetheless, million thanks to the authors of the letter and for being active!

    Does anybody know this?

Thank you, @jeckylberry, for describing your experience! First, I am relieved others know this, too. But then, what's disappointing, you don't know what it is, right? (Except @Wonko?) I don't have too much hopes in neurologists or neurological clinics; or doctors in general. :D but I'll try.

    "Impostors" in Psychiatry

Why spend money if you can create certificates all on your own?

    "Impostors" in Psychiatry

That story is just hilarious! the question obviously is who is the "sick" one: the psychiatrist or his "patient"? Reminds me of Freud, Jung, ... In Germany it's so easy to get psychopharmaceuticals, i.e. no false pretenses needed. :D

    "Impostors" in Psychiatry

Yeah :D (Well, to be fair, there are certain interesting parts of psychology...but psychiatry is not.)

Entire issue of Post Graduate Medical Journal (11/1978) devoted to ME

It makes me a little bit sad...seems all knowledge from the past is ignored and the wheel is re-invented again and again. This leads to nowhere. I also had this feeling when reading "Osler's Web". Maybe I'm too pessimistic here?

    "Impostors" in Psychiatry

Well, officially you have to make certain certificates, e.g. study psychology or medicine (and then psychiatry). But those examples show you needn't study at all. :) You just have to learn their way of speaking.

    "Impostors" in Psychiatry

No, this is not about psychiatrists as impostors - although it could be :D - but about people who pretended to have a degree in psychiatry and got - partly central - positions in a clinic. A TV part (ZDF) about Alexandra Beek who pretended to have a PhD and was a psychiatrist two years in...

Good luck with your GP, @Wonko. You know more now. Personally I think that's valuable and is a good foundation for success. Best wishes!

    Low temperature

I would take "active folic acid" - is that folate? Ohhhh :bear: I take MTHF. Folate is one suggestion by the Charité ("things you can try"). My feeling was that the CRP wasn't too low (but not too high either...well). Probably it's not important?

    Low temperature

I'd say a TSH of 3 is a bit too high. In Germany, the limits were changed some years ago. Now everything > 2.5 microU/ml is deemed as hypothyroidism, if I remember correctly. I also found 3,1 as upper limit. But to me, ft3 and ft4 look decent. Edit: You could think about substituting folate...

You know, @ Philipp, what is really hard for me to understand, too, seems to be the fact we cannot do anything legally. I just can't believe it. I just can't believe you can't do anything concerning this: You are absolutely right. In general, in law, not-knowing doesn't save you from being...
