She still thinks it’s XMRV? I didn’t realise she was carrying on with this after the lab contamination.
Some people don’t know when to quit do they....
One step forward two steps back.....
Interestingly I believe that’s also the experience most people will have trying to increase their activity levels in the way you endorse.
*Edited to clarify this is just an opinion*
I was thinking something like one of these? https://www.healthy-house.co.uk/air/air-purifiers/air-purifiers-by-filter-type/hepa-filter-air-purifiers
At least your house would have cleaner air so it would reduce your exposure overall. Obviously not cheap options though unfortunately.
Would any mask filter out smog and fire particulates? I’d have thought you’d need a respirator rated for vapours to stop stuff that fine getting through. As wonko said, I wouldn’t want to be wearing one of those all day.
For inside the house would a hepa air filter be a better choice?
They are expensive, especially for the titanium ones. You also have to replace the foam tips a few times a year but I guess how often would depend how much you use them. Just worth bearing in mind if foam plugs aren’t working well enough though.
Personally I think some people that have terrible diseases or injuries use things like “it’s made me a better person” or “I’ve learnt so much” as coping mechanisms to deal with the awfulness of not being healthy.
That’s not to say it’s a bad thing as such, anything that helps us cope mentally...
That’s correct, with about a 20 year gap in between.
It’s probably completely unrelated to your research so sorry to hijack your thread. The liver connection was just interesting.
*edited to add paragraph*
I’ve been seen recently by a consultant and AMA weren’t present, nor did any other test results come back with problems. It’s just always something I’ve been curious about.
I tested positive for antimitochondrial antibodies which had me sent off to a liver specialist to be checked for primary biliary cirrhosis a few years after I first became ill. After more tests they just said they couldn’t find anything but i’ve often wondered what was going on there and if my...
I tried the Palio diet for a couple of months about 15 years ago with no change.
I’d be willing to go full Keto, especially if it only had to be strict for a year. However it would be a lot more work than my current diet so I’d rather see more research on it for ME/CFS before I committed...
Flare Snoozers are the newer ones they say are more comfortable for sleeping. I have the aluminium isolate minis though as I bought mine before the snoozers came out. I have no clue if the titanium is worth the extra price.
For anyone looking for earplugs I really recommend flare isolate. The minis are even fine for side sleeping. Although they now do special sleeping earplugs which I haven’t tried but I imagine would be even more comfortable.
Two members of my family have coeliac, one since birth. Things have gotten so much better in the last few years for them. The quality, selection and price of gluten free foods is infinitely better than it used to be.
So I say thank you celeb fad diet pushers, your (probably) pointless diets...
