BBC short video: Chronic fatigue syndrome: Living with an invisible illness

@Mithriel yes, I agree it is important to investigate why our immune system morphs over the years. What I find odd is when pwME rejoice when they catch a cold or flu and interpret this as an indication that their immune system is improving

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

@JemPD my wild guess is no, not all viruses can be inactivated by lower temps. I would be worried that freezing preserves the virus!

BBC short video: Chronic fatigue syndrome: Living with an invisible illness

My immune system is dysfunctional and has changed over the last 30 years. I'm not sure whether catching flu or colds frequently or not at all is any indication of anything important with M.E. My CD4 and CD8 lymphocytes are all below normal.

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

I ordered an item from a Chinese seller on Etsy over a week ago, s/he is not allowed to leave home to send it out to me until March 1st. I will soak it in alcohol when I receive it.

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

Well, it appears now that the Princess Diamond cruise ship has become an incubator for the virus rather than a good place for quarantine. According to a Virologist at McGill, the ship is the second most contagious spot on the planet for coronavirus, after China, according to...

    CoQ10 - Coenzyme Q10

My levels were measured over 10 years ago, I was at 50% and was advised to supplement. I didn't notice much difference at 100mg, but I did feel an improvement at 300mg/day as far as being upright longer. I had to discontinue after 4 months because it was negatively affecting my...

The science of craniocervical instability and other spinal issues and their possible connection with ME/CFS - discussion thread

I take 600 mg EPA and 300 mg DHA. I think that was what the chemist/consultant recommended for me years ago based on my test results.

The Deformability of Red Blood Cells in Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) - Thesis, Brendan Robert Schmidt, 2019

I don't know if my RBC are deformed, but I was very deficient in Omega 3 based on my elaborate RBC fatty test in 2000. All my other fatty acids were normal, except for one that was 'high'. Taking omega 3 regularly has improved my cognitive function. I took a fair amount Efamol back in...

Coronavirus - worldwide spread and control

Correction here. Alcohol disinfects but does not sterilize. Big difference. You need heat and pressure to sterilize, such as in an autoclave.

    Coronavirus: Advice from ME organisations

Are they still speculating that this coronavirus is an animal to human transmission? I've read recently that they suspect pangolins as the new culprits. This is completely different from flu virus.

Differentiating post-polio syndrome from myalgic encephalomyelitis and chronic fatigue syndrome, 2019, Jason et al

Interesting that they present Type I, Type II and Type III poliovirus. I think this will also be the case for M.E.

Disability Tax Credit in Canada Difficult for Invisible Illnesses

The application for the Disability Tax Credit does not 'fit' our reality. I was receiving the DTC for over 25 years, but it appears that the CRA has made it more difficult to obtain in the last few years. https://globalnews.ca/news/6474047/canadians-disabilities-can-lose-tax-credit/
