Marathon runner forced to quit work after developing ME claims diet change gave him his life back

I became very sick last year, round about this time. I loved kefir and drank it almost every day. First, I thought it was kefir to blame. Then I realized it was all dairy, everything with dairy -not only lactose. I can not tolerate dairy protein somehow. This started very suddenly.

This is exactly what happened to me. I drank a lot of kefir because it was so tasty and helped with loose stools, but somehow I became sensitized to it and now all dairy products provoke reactions.

The full reaction is delayed and very unpleasant. After avoiding dairy for a while, tollerance increases but problems quickly return once dairy is reintroduced into the diet.

@strategist, you've been gluten free while this happened?

And were you on a heavy anti biotic before this kefir episode?

I had to take a huge dose of Fluoroquinolone type antibiotic some 2-3 months before the kefir use.

I don't remember if I was gluten free or not. I am now because I cannot afford any further GI inflammation. I have a genetic predisposition for celiac disease.

Yes, this happend after I followed de Meirleir's treatment plan, which was a horrible mistake.
