Co-hosted by the Health Quality & Safety Commission (the Commission), the University of Auckland (UoA), the British Medical Journal(BMJ) and the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (CEBM).

‘Getting Better with Evidence: experiences of putting evidence into practice’ is a one-day conference that provides a platform for delegates to learn from experts about putting evidence into practice, and discuss the challenges currently being faced in health care.

The programme will include keynote presentations and concurrent workshops, delivered by leading international and local experts, with a focus on the needs of the New Zealand audience, including increasing equity and addressing over-diagnosis and over-treatment.

@RoseE, I wonder if we could ask our contact in the local DBH if he would like to attend; we could sponsor his costs from our medical professionals education project. From memory, Fiona Godlee has been useless at applying evidence-based thinking to the question of treatment of people with ME/CFS. Our contact has some good thoughts about that; he might ask some interesting questions.
