This was a post from the doctors association on Facebook (ad has disappeared so just have the article link):
www.doctors.net.uk
It is restricted unless a member to first few paras but I don’t know if the news is also elsewhere
It doesn’t cover me/cfs type issues (I don’t think as I can’t read further) but did make me think - it being a review and all - of the topic of anyone being able to suggest ‘functional’ , multidisciplinary teams meetings discussing /intruding into people’s lives and making assertions when it’s not a mental illness and staff aren’t psych or mental health, and yes physios or OTs asserting personality ideas etc or inventing or suggesting ‘therapies’ without in my mind being qualified to do so for a population or an individual
Review of non-medical staff carrying out duties formerly restricted to psychiatrists
The role, responsibilities and training of some non-medical staff in mental health care are being reviewed by a medical college after concerns were raised by resident doctors.
Fb link in case any good comments
