An ME patient goes on a virtual pilgrimage Ruth Lampard Church Times May 2019

Great article and way to engage people with ME and chronic illness.

I enjoy looking at places I have been in the past, where I will not get to again. Today I went INTO the long barrow Waylands Smithy, and to the Uffington White Horse! I have been down tiny Welsh lanes and Cornish beaches that I used to know so well. It really is an amazing resource, if sometimes emotional.

Edit: on Google Earth!!

An update: I am giving a Paper at the Border and Crossings Travel Writing Conference in Leicester this week. I was asked to submit and paper & delighted to be accepted. It will be a struggle to attend as I am having a tough time at the moment, but I hope to participate as much in the whole event as I can.

I seem to have invented a new genre.

My paper is “Virtual Pilgrimage: Travel and Travel Writing – It’s Problematic!”
