Melbourne (Australia) CFS Discovery Clinic Closing

Dear Moderator You changed the heading of my thread to indicate this clinic is closing in April 2019. This is not actually correct so I have edited it. Here is what the email says: “11/4/2019 Dear Patient, The time has come for Dr Lewis to finally retire. He has been serving the ME/CFS...

Diabetes meds. What can you tolerate?

So in desperation I decided to give metformin another go which was an epic fail. I’m now exploring Low Carb High Fat in an attempt to stay off drugs. I recently went to a new GP who specialises in patients with complex health issues. She ordered a number of tests for various things including...

Diabetes meds. What can you tolerate?

Yes @Binkie4 it is really difficult managing diabetes and ME when you can’t exercise and the drugs are a problem. Good luck with your diet. I’ve read it can be quite successful. I found it helpful to educate myself about nutrition and diet, particularly the carb content of various foods and...

Diabetes meds. What can you tolerate?

That sounds horrible @alex3619 Yes I’m sensitive to most drugs and supplements so I always start with a very low dose. I started with a quarter of a tablet, then a half a tablet but it’s already clear that DIAMICRON is not for me.

Metabolic acidosis - high anion gap

@Hutan I vaguely remember looking at this with my own results a while back. I’m too sick to check just now but will do so when I’m up to it and let you know.
