    Media items about obesity

wow People are being declined from attending ME/CFS and long Covid clinics if they are overweight. Why? Being overweight does not cause post exertional symptoms or POTS. Losing weight will not cure the condition. Imagine any other disease having a BMI caveat for help.

Lack of fever during acute infections

@duncan The ME doctor I saw in the early 90s told me that most pwME feel as though they have a fever but their actual temperature is low. It's our bodies natural mechanism of trying to increase our core temperature.

Lack of fever during acute infections

@forestglip But does the flu/cold circulate all year round? It's common for me to have a mild sore throat, worse fatigue, deep aching et on a regular basis even in mid July. I live alone and don't spend a lot time around people. I'd be at the doctors every month if I thought I had an...

Lack of fever during acute infections

I know we discussed this before but I thought I would bring it up here if that's ok. Who gets the flu or a cold? I don't know for sure if I've ever had the flu or a cold. The first 12 years never. But as ME went on I can't really say for sure if how I felt was from the flu or a cold...

There are most likely some pwME who are infected with enterovirus. I would imagine that they would need many tissue samples in various areas of the gut to detect it. Have you seen the discussions on this thread

Taking tissue samples from lungs from LC patients could produce answers. But I'm not so sure tissue samples(except the brain) is going to produce anything useful for pwME? Dr. Chia took gut samples from pwME for enterovirus but I'm not sure he found anything? My best friend was a...

Do you believe that “viral persistence” is the cause of ongoing MECFS and LC?

Possibly. Wouldn't the length of time after viral onset be a factor? I had all the PCR testing done 10yrs after ME onset. From one of references above (LINK) "Treatment with antivirals or combinations of antivirals and immune-modulating agents during acute COVID-19 may also prevent PASC...
