    Ketogenic diet

I still get IBS-type symptoms on keto. But it's slightly different to before.

Who was it that said being in support groups leads to poor outcome?

So yet another lie that's become a factoid in the BPS bullshit arsenal.

Sussex-Wide CFS/ME Service: Out of 973 patients referred, only 105 saw the doctor

Then I think you're screwed. Though, technically, you can get emergency care at any point.

    Ketogenic diet

I needed electrolytes too. Especially potassium. I got awful cramps otherwise (exacerbated by anything anticholinergic).

'To summarise the summary of the summary: people are a problem.'

Sussex-Wide CFS/ME Service: Out of 973 patients referred, only 105 saw the doctor

Douglas Adams put it best: 'it is a well-known fact that those people who most want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it. '...anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.'

Who was it that said being in support groups leads to poor outcome?

His website explains why: he and a colleague tested lots of patients but couldn't find a single causative virus. Ergo, viruses couldn't be the cause and he was immediately taken with something like a central sensitisation theory.

Who was it that said being in support groups leads to poor outcome?

As I understand it, Smith left the MEA due to his divergent beliefs. He'd apparently been convinced of the value of treating the condition with amitriptyline for sleep and Prozac for fatigue by one of the BPS lot. (ETA: This requires constant monitoring for interactions/liver issues.) He then...

Sussex-Wide CFS/ME Service: Out of 973 patients referred, only 105 saw the doctor

ME aside, no one has to die because they can't afford treatment, and no one loses their house because they have to fork out for an unexpected hospital visit. You do have rights under the NHS and you do have choices. Private healthcare is more costly in America than it is in the UK in general...

Petition to ask government agencies adopt ICC

Some of the older descriptions do mention this, but conversely, others have found no higher prevalence of psychiatric symptoms than in other diseases. Which is correct? Older descriptions also represent mild to very severe patients, though, and I think ICC specifically excludes mild patients in...

UK: Locations that offer CPET/VO2max testing

I misread your earlier post and assumed you stopped to have bloods after each stage. I only had bloods at the end of each test, but the staff said they would normally stop multiple times to take bloods for at least the lactate test. Find attached.

Measuring School Functioning in Students With Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: A Systematic Review, 2017, Tollit et al

TYMES Trust has been working with one such organisation. Local authorities have to pick up the bill, usually, so they push back, but it can be done. I can't remember the name.

Petition to ask government agencies adopt ICC

That's not my reading of the study you linked to. The IOM patients are different to the normal hypersomnolent patients, most notably in being drug-resistant. While this might mean that some patients with sleep disorders may falsely fulfil IOM criteria it may also mean the reverse: that IOM...
