I would not expect IVIG to have nay effect relevant to this theory. If a Jak-Stat inhibitor blocked the effects of gamma interferon, even in hidden environments, then a lack of effect would be against the theory. On the other hand, this theory focuses on how an immune response might trigger a...
It is not so much that a ne paradigm is needed as there being a need for people involved to ahev seom basic understanding of disease mechanisms and dynamics. This is all just the same muddle of words produced by people with no real idea what they mean by the words.
Even lying down is different because the underneath parts of you are under the downward pressure of the top parts. In water hat downward pressure is counteracted by pressure from surrounding water. You are weightless for all practical purposes. One of the few differences is that your bone-locked...
Er no. It shows that if you ask a load of patients about sensitive subjects and a load of controls the patients will have different sorts of thoughts, obviously, because they are patients in a study rather than controls in a study. They are having their minds picked by voyeurs, whereas the...
I agree. I think maybe by mid 2026 we will have quite a bit of negative data relating to blind alleys, from RECOVER, STIMULATE-ICP and various other interventions, mostly directed at Long Covid but probably relevant to ME/CFS.
Potentially a very interesting area. Presumably when ACL is damaged and especially when repaired there will be damage to nerves involved in proprioceptive loops that control servo mechanisms used in muscle contraction. Gamma efferent signals to muscle may be in complete disarray.

Yes, it seems likely that the relationship between heart rate at various times and symptom patterns in ME/CFS will be very complicated. I just get the impression that a short window measurement of HRV has been lifted from other contexts and applied to fatigue situations without any real thinking...
Yes, I and others spent a lot of time looking at this last year. It became clear that NICE cannot just add something to NG206 without an expensive procedure involving reconvening. There is a clear policy not to do that. Perhaps more importantly, it became clear that nothing extra is really...
Isn't that the exception though? Training increases HRV 95% of the time surely?
I find it hard to see an analogy between overtraining and being sick with ME/CFS.
That covers the ground pretty well. My main reservation would be the suggestion of using private providers, who are likely to be a very mixed crowd. If there is money for commissioning. service it should go in to an academic unit with a research agenda that is fully open to scrutiny.
ME/CFS...
