Good grief - I wasn't completely with-it when reading this, and assumed that it was comment on the new recommendations. It looks as though it was completely ignored.
There's an interesting bit at about 2020 where they are talking about problems with peer review, e.g. things slipping past reviewers which shouldn't.

Drugs are regularly found to be ineffective after being used for years, and things are found effective by some tests...
