To be honest if Jonathan says that for UK Docs malaise means what he says it does, then i'm fine with that.
I know its got connotations of vague discomfort and of victorian ladies, but we dont stop using the terms migraine or depression, or indeed 'flu' just because the general populous often...
@John Mac I'm not sure why you posted that article about transfer of ESA to UC specifically in response to my post? was it just a general comment about how inhumane they are, or was there something you felt was particularly applicable to me? were you pointing out to me that they will be...
Brilliant Helly,
i'm pretty sure that art teacher couldnt do 'that' either? Nor, evidently, could he even do the basics of his job!
And in any case who wants to be someone else anyway, what a jackass!
you are so right @ukxmrv "get out in the fresh air!" you've got my GP, in fact every GP i ever seen, down to a tee there. Which does feel very cruel when you'd love nothing more than to do so but cant.
Well they lose me right out with this...
since the brain is body it makes no sense?
Its like saying there is increasing recognition that the humerus is dynamically coupled with the arm?
I have an idea that the MEA, specifically Charles Shepherd might be able to answer your question @PeterW
I'm not sure why & it could be completely spurious, but i have an idea that i have seen that Q asked on MEA facebook some time ago and he answered in a way that satisfied me (i wasnt the...
well then its possible i have a 20yr long 'post infectious syndrome', because what Jonathan describes is how it is for me. Its like having had a bad bout of flu, getting to wk 2/3 and feeling improved, but if i do anything, any mental or physical exertion, then, after a delay, i pay for it &...
To be honest i just wish we could use that FUAE or feeling ill after exertion' FIAE its the most accurate description for me. OR actually even better would be Being ill/unwell after exertion BIAE or BUAE. That would stop anyone thinking the F was for fatigue.
(i ignored 'sick' because in the...
I know you know, you saying this wasnt a surprise to me, and yet i still teared up with relief at seeing such sense spoken. I am particularly emotional today, but still, there sis something so comforting about being understood, of hearing sense in the midst of such a lot of insanity.
when you...
since when do antidepressants 'stimulate the immune system'?
Sounds like a pseudoscientific waffle he was told, to get him to take the pills.
But perhaps i am wrong.
But no, surely they have written that incorrectly? i mean if they weren't found until now, then they cant possibly have even existed before now....
yes for years thats how i experienced it as well. But I have definitely had one from DWP in a white envelope - i thought it was my reassessment form, it was just a 'the rates of PIP are increasing, from ---- date--- your rate will be' ....
definitely from DWP.
I assumed they had changed to...
really? I wonder why its different for me then? Its at least a year, in fact i'd say 2yrs, since i had a brown envelope from them. Perhaps its an area thing.
strange
Sorry by 'indoors' i meant 'at home' so thats good you would have said that
McEvedy ugh he cant even look at the person he's talking to straight on, has to look at them sideways.
so superior, im surprised he didnt steeple his fingers.
shudder
What a depressing video <sigh>
Yeah me too.
They are sent in white envelopes now though you know. With the words 'Important Documents Enclosed' written on. At least they are in my area. They changed from the 'brown envelope' a while back. Its worse, because at least, as you say, you could see from a distance with one glance...
gosh, i wish i'd known that in dec/jan/feb when my reassessment was "due"!
would have saved a lot of anxiety! But they couldnt possibly let people know could they... that would be too humane
That doesnt mean length of award though (as i understand it) it means how long you're allowed to get it. So for the WRAG you can only get contribution based ESA for 365 days, you can keep having it renewed indefinitely, for the support group. But like Wonko says there are no indefinite awards...
Precisely @Lilas
I'm really not sure why they needed a study to tell them any of it.
yes i spotted that too.
completely agree with all you say @Trish
'smile, pat them on the head and act as if you respect them, that will be enough'.
How can psychologists not know that patronisation and...
Doesnt every patient with every condition want to be treated with respect etc? What grieves me about this article is the 'othering'.
Every patient with every condition wants what we want, why make it seem like we are a special case. We dont get it. But this article presents the problem as being...
