Using patient feedback to develop an intervention for Long COVID, current study by Trudie Chalder, 2022

It will encourage people to live a "values based life"????? I'll never understand why they keep throwing money at that woman to do such useless research studies.

Tonsils, Appendixes, Gall Bladders and ME/CFS

I have always wondered if it was antibiotics that was the start of my ME journey. I had two very badly infected teeth that I didn't know were infected until having a really bad toothache one night for about two hours. I was put on a "schookum" dose of Penicillin (my doctors word) and three days...

Tonsils, Appendixes, Gall Bladders and ME/CFS

I still have my appendix, gall bladder, and tonsils. And I've had ME for 31 years now.

Any good science on problems taking Vitamin B12?

I was at the high end of the range when my B12 was tested. Rich Van K believed that people with ME tended to have high levels of serum B12, but that our bodies did not use B12 normally, therefore, leaving us with symptoms of B12 deficiency.

Any good science on problems taking Vitamin B12?

Sasha, if I remember correctly, Rich Van K didn't recommend Cyanocobalamin. I think it was Methylcobalamin and Hydroxocobalamin that he recommended.

‘Kind of Awkward’: Doctors Find Themselves on a First-Name Basis, NYT

I think that is an English thing to call specialists "Mr". Here in Canada a doctor is a Dr. no matter their position or seniority.

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

The bivalent mRNA shots aren't providing any extra protection and are no better than the older mRNA shots. https://vancouversun.com/news/local-news/covid-update-oct-27-nov-2-heres-what-you-need-to-know-this-week

‘Kind of Awkward’: Doctors Find Themselves on a First-Name Basis, NYT

It actually doesn't surprise me today that people would do that, especially the younger generations. Back when I was a kid we always called adults by Mr. or Mrs. We never called them by their first name, whereas today young kids are on a first name basis with everyone.

I tried taking an anti-histamine but it knocked me out.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

You're very lucky that your GP found someone to buy her practice. That isn't happening very often here in BC. Right now doctor's offices aren't even doing waiting lists as there are too many people looking for a GP. I might get lucky when the time comes, but some people are still looking after...

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

I'm still trying to recover from the Pfizer booster that I had at the end of January. Researchers in Germany are studying whether the spike protein in the vaccine is causing some of us to get Long Covid.

Can I change my GP record terminology (UK)?

My doctor also uses the term CFS. I asked her about using ME and she said that they don't use it.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

There are approximately 900,000 British Columbians without a GP. I'll be one of those people in the next year as my doctor wants to retire. She had planned on retiring this year, but, like other doctors in BC, can't find a doctor to buy her practice. So now her plans are to stay for another year...

    Best chopping tool/food prep gadget?

I love my air fryer. My oven is mammoth in size and takes an hour to heat up to temperature. Why they make ovens big enough to roast Big Bird is beyond me. I can't see anyone needing an oven that large. The air fryer takes 5 minutes to come to temp and takes half the time to cook.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

The last time the flu hit hard around BC back in about 2018 or 2019 (I can't remember which year now) it was the people in their 50s who were dying from the flu that year. And these were people who appeared to be healthy and they don't know why it happened.

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

I'm having the same conversation with myself. Do I get the flu shot or is it too risky? Like you, I've never had a problem with any vaccine, not as a baby, a kid, a teen, or as an adult getting the yearly flu shot. Just the covid vaccines (2 Moderna and a Pfizer booster) have been the issue...

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't recovered either. There are so many of us with vaccine damage and nobody seems to care. I went through a short spell of having migraine auras, but thankfully they seem to have gone away. That was replaced with really bad double vision that would hit me out of...

    Covid-19 vaccination experiences

It's now eight months since I had the Pfizer booster and I'm not recovering. I still have the neuropathy and extreme exhaustion. I never fully recovered from either of the first two vaccines before I would get the next one. I'm very sorry now that I ever had that last covid shot. My gut told me...
