When I was diagnosed with IC, it was after being put under in the OR and have a biopsy done of the inflammation to rule out bladder cancer. Only then was I given the diagnosis of IC. My urologist said that having ME put people at a higher risk of developing IC.

That's good to know. I think in the New Year I'll probably go ahead and order some and see how it goes. There is another one with e-coli that Ken also recommends but I believe it is only available from Europe so I don't know whether or not it will allowed it into Canada.

I've also read of people receiving donations from overweight or obese people who have then ended up with the same weight issue. I've also read that if the donor tends to suffer from depression or anxiety, that that can also potentially be passed along to the recipient.

I don't even think that a higher dose of the antibiotic is necessary. They found that people did just as well taking the antibiotic for half the number of days providing that the antibiotic was working and they were symptom free for a couple of days before stopping taking it...

I believe that these are things that they can actually see from looking at the back of the eyes.

Thanks for the explanation, Trish. I don't know if we have home service here in my part of Canada. So it isn't actually an optometrist who does the eye exam but an optician. Is it just a sight test you are given or are they checking for diseases also? Things like brain tumours? high blood...

@erin You should definitely get that checked out if you haven't done so already. As Cheesus said it could be edema, but you also want to make sure that it isn't a blood clot.

How does that work getting a home test? With all the different pieces of equipment they use these days for testing eyes I'm wondering how they do this. Or is it a mobile van that parks outside your home?

I think that this is normal. If you look at a person's diet, within a few weeks of changing what you eat will greatly affect your microbiome. I watched a show a few years ago about gut bacteria, and they had someone who ate a lot of fruits and veggies change their diet to eating McDonald's food...

Yes, however, I think in my case it is age related and most definitely computer related. I don't think that ME has anything to do with my blurry eyesight. Most of the blame there lies with the internet and ME forums and FB.
