New poor Guardian article "ME and the perils of internet activism" 28th July 2019

Personally i'm not sure biomed researchers coming out & saying how supportive we are of them is particularly helpful - unless it's Fluge & Mella saying how thrilled we all were with their latest negative Rituximab study indicating previous positive results were placebo! They're spinning...

‘I can hardly breathe’: Exploring the parental experience of having a child with a functional disorder, 2019, Hulgaard et al

"i can hardly breathe".... typical that from everything that was said, for the title they would pick the phrase that appears to be a mother displaying an emotionally mediated physical symptom..... Making mothers look 'emotional' when in fact her feelings are entirely rational & natural the...

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)...coming to a CFS clinic near you? & a possible advocacy opportunity?

Wasn't sure where to post this, but i was watching a tv drama & someone was recommended EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique.... which is tapping on the so called 'meridians', to get rid of unwanted emotional distress & also physical pain/ailments especially 'MUS' etc. I seemed to remember some...

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

so there is a sound that the cancelling function makes then? On yours? I would never be playing music through them, as listening to music, although enjoyed, is very costly on my energy budget when I'm at my best, & i cant do it at all otherwise. I think they seem like the ones I tried, like...

The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) - a discussion

Well if they mean non physical then they should say so loud & clear... It should say (for example) 'If you were physically able to read a good book or watch tv... would you enjoy it'? or If you had no reason to fear being inappropriately sectioned for being physically ill, losing your home when...

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

@Effi thanks for that, yes it's the different noises at the same time for me too, so that sounds promising, i'm going to look into those bose ones because the ones i tried were somebody's airplane ones (economy not bose!) & some that i got off amazon i think they were 'only' £30 - lol it seemed...

Noise cancelling headphones! Oh Joy! (and other ways to block sound)

About the noise cancelling phones... I tried a couple of pairs early on & found them awful - admittedly they weren't the expensive kind- thanks for that Bose trial tip @Effi I want less sound, not the addition of another in order to change the nature of it. In fact the number of...
