    Part of the Lightning Process is literally training people to say and believe that they're better, no matter how they actually feel. So I'm not sure that that works as an analogy.

    For the GWAS you will need to make it clear that scientists aren't going to "steal your genes"... a lot of people are very scared of giving their genetic material to research and what might be done with it. (This is totally based on misconceptions, of course.)

    Still nobody has substantively engaged with any of the science posted by Jen and Debored and Hip...... Come on guys. You can't complain about lack of science and then ignore when you are shown the science.

    PEM for those who are, or were, mild sufferers, how would you describe it?

    SAME. For ages I thought my symptoms were just "physical symptoms of depression" (because lots of depressed people describe feeling tired and unable to move). Then I recovered from depression and my symptoms were still there and in fact getting worse.
