Trial By Error: Bristol’s Complaint to Berkeley [Short Tuller blog 23rd December 2017]

Interesting. I hadn't seen that COPE before. I was particularly struck by this line: In addition, the data were collected anonymously, which would further exempt the study from requiring formal ethical approval. Am I correct that here Crawley is claiming dispensation from gaining further...

    Documents from the SMILE trial

We've tried many times to involve Goldacre but for some reason the former student of Simon Wessely refuses to look at it. He's too busy, apparently. Though not too busy to tweet about harassment of researchers by ME militants.

    Documents from the SMILE trial

I have today received the result of the review undertaken by Bristol about the SMILE trial data.. They still claim an exemption. I'll refer it to the ICO. It usually takes about 4 months to get a decision.

Esther Crawley talk at TEDxBristol, Thurs 2nd Bristol - "Disrupting Your View Of ME"

Hehe. I'd recommend some painkillers to get through it. I think actually that is an important point: I suspect she kept the image because of its obvious impact, but continued to claim it was sent to her precisely in order to make the joke. It does get a reaction. (As well as making us...

My understanding is that they will not be. As I said, a third party contacted Gill and Gill has said that he doesn't want to be involved in the dispute.

I haven't read the whole of this thread on here, but can say the following: Someone else contacted Gill. That person prefers not to be named. They forwarded me an email from Gill that said (direct quotation): This is a photo illustration I created for an article that was published in The...
