@Marco did you miss the fact that the govt’s entire theory has been discredited and shown to be a sham last night, and the fact it’s been all over every news channel today?

I know. I would’ve thought the WHO conference would’ve got through to the UK at least a little bit. Apparently not. Frankly it’s unbelievable we are in this situation.
@Jonathan Edwards
Oh and on the question of why doctors in hospitals are now just wearing surgical masks and short gloves, he answers “that’s a case for the NHS”, and “we need to be looking at the proportionality” of any measures they introduce - so apparently if they go too far in any one...
@Jonathan Edwards
Vallance being questioned by Jeremy Hunt in Parliament and giving non answers to all questions including whether any doctors and nurses had been tested for coronavirus Or whether any were in intensive care.
Also he is lying to the questioners as far as I can see. For his...
Can people in other countries confirm what their doctors and medical staff are wearing when coming into contact with Covid-19 patients? Especially in Italy? I’ve seen pictures of doctors in Italy with full gear on.
Look what’s happening in the UK...
This is pretty scary. From Robert Peston. If we are not being tested how many coronavirus cases are actually there in the UK? The govt haven’t given a proper rationale for not testing.
I just skim read bits of the imperial paper.
But this jumped out at me:
“The measures used to achieve suppression might also evolve over time. As case numbers fall, it becomes more feasible to adopt intensive testing, contact tracing and quarantine measures akin to the strategies being...
I agree. They are now trying to say they are still “using the same model”. Only, the inputs have changed now. So they’ve changed the intensive care number from 15% to 30%. Apparently their old “numbers” were based on influenza and viral pneumonia.
Yes, without this we have no absolutely no idea who has the condition.
Then there’s the fact our frontline GP staff, who are coming into contact with people with coronavirus, are not getting tested
I don’t know why this is happening...

But he was involved in the original modelling too, wasn’t he?
From the report, it seemed to me that the same team was involved in the original herd immunity strategy, as well as the new one. How could they have got it so wrong.
Report: (I haven’t read it)...
I know, from the press conference it was as if the numbers were higher than they expected and that’s why they just intervened earlier than usual. But still sticking to the same herd immunity plan. But actually it seems now that’s not the case. So much lack of transparency, even now. Not to...
I’m so glad they’ve changed their tune. Although wish they had been given a much harder time by journalists. I mean it’s a huge blunder. Just before you posted, I found this:
“The UK Only Realised "In The Last Few Days" That Its Coronavirus Strategy Would "Likely Result In Hundreds of Thousands...
What is this based on? If, as Sarah pointed out above, WHO advice says self isolate for 14 days AFTER symptoms have gone, then 7 days after first symptoms isn’t really enough at all.
I think NSAIDs can have some effects on people. With asthma and With stomach issues. It could possibly have an effect on lungs.
because of what I’ve heard from France, I would rather be careful and have told those around me not to take Ibuprofen. I don’t take it anyway due to side effects.
