“Potentially harmful and old-fashioned chronic fatigue treatments under review” ABC Australia article and TV program

Cringeworthy watching. I keep saying that Australia, be it the government, healthcare, media, or the patients themselves, NEED TO STOP SAYING CHRONIC FATIGUE! Call it by its gross name, CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME. And no, no one understands that it is actually CFS and that is just what that...

Why has 'persistent enteroviral infection' been dropped as a research strand in ME/CFS? (Jen Brea asking)

I'm no expert, but I don't think they go anywhere once you have the sample. I think Chia is wrong, but that's just me.

Why has 'persistent enteroviral infection' been dropped as a research strand in ME/CFS? (Jen Brea asking)

I'll jump in. No, I didn't read every post so sorry if I am reapeating what was already posted. I could have sworn Solve ME/CFS Initiative had said they analyzed the Chia samples and found no enteroviruses. I just googled now and can't find the information but I really thought they did check...

Lyrica Brand (by Pfizer) - There Will Be a Generic, Pregabalin, in 2019

Generic legal battle I don't think Pregabalin can even be marketed to insurance companies and pharmacies until 2019, so my insurance probably won't cover it until 2020. Then, it probably won't be a preferred generic making it more expensive than most generics.

CDC Posts NEW CONTENT on ME/CFS (July 12, 2018)

It is good. I hope the media reports on this. Edit: I just saw the Medscape post by someone else. That's pretty important as I know healthcare practitioners do use it.

BCG Tuberculosis vaccine - and related testing - EpicGenetics

So, my doctor said he would read up on the research, but would rather wait until the research is finished before making a decision. So, I can't get it yet.

Marathon runner forced to quit work after developing ME claims diet change gave him his life back

I went Gluten, dairy, caffeine, and wheat free for over a year to no avail. I did have a Celiac disease test and it was negative. If one feels better or less bloated, that's great but unfortunately for me, nothing ever worked. I juiced too. ugh

Archive of Diseases in Childhood: Editor's Note on Lightning Process Trial (June 2018)

David Tuller called them out on that in his Trial By Error installment. It was posted here, somewhere. He does hold BMJ responsible, from what I remember reading, as they have had other papers on LP and SMILE printed in their journals. If I remember all that correctly. EDIT: Oh, you ARE David...

CDC Posts NEW CONTENT on ME/CFS (July 12, 2018)

Yes, I think you are right. Although, I am "tickled pink" over the changes as I have had to deal with horrific managment of my disease for 40 years (and Fibro for 45) and I find this to be very helpful. Also, I encourage everyone in the US to e-mail the CDC website information to their state's...
