It's pretty mild but I have rarely seen open criticism of Simon Wessely in UK medical circles. Is the king's naked butt starting to show? Maybe a crack in the armor? (pun very intended)

One of the articles was already published (although it's paywalled) but Long Covid is this week's cover topic at New Scientist.

In this bizarre text which obviously serves no purpose but to attack us for no other reason than we exist, Godlee actually referred to and linked to Chew-Graham's article on the horrible consequences of gaslighting to long haulers and that's just such a bizarre mobius strip of confused...
Maybe that's a hint to that but I remember a few months ago Henrik posted a weird thread responding to someone with Long Covid telling them that if they ever are near Oxford they should go see Sharpe and have a chat with him about this whole recovering from fatigue thing.
I assume Henrik and...
It's marked as commissioned to the BMJ so they had to solicit and pay for it, no other explanation. Which itself is inexplicable given how poor of a job it does at summarizing the facts, this is not journalism, not the regular kind and even less scientific.
But more importantly it is also...
Somehow, Fiona Godlee has published an op-ed (it's linked a few comments down) with no purpose other than to attack us. Just like there is no clear point being made in this commissioned text here, Godlee's text has no point or substance, seems only to be a vehicle to attack us.
None of this is...

But whatever it's starting to show the cracks in the armor.
Looks like the use of a limited denominator is all the rage these days. When standards are lowered all you get in outcome is lowered standards.

Obviously the idea that a shady professor of medicine just volunteers work for a giant insurance company that just happens to repackage those ideas to make money is beyond laughable.
