Clinical effectiveness of an online group physical & mental health rehab programme for post-covid-19 condition REGAIN study, 2024, McGregor+

Good catch! They're really misrepresenting the guidance in a way that makes their pathetic findings look marginally better. Also ironic is their claim that the study could be under-representing the effect--if they had compared it to no treatment at all instead of the standard care. It's like...

Clinical effectiveness of an online group physical & mental health rehab programme for post-covid-19 condition REGAIN study, 2024, McGregor+

Yes I was really struck by how minuscule that difference was. Even if it were barely above the minimally significant threshold, it’s still would be miniscule.

Clinical effectiveness of an online group physical & mental health rehab programme for post-covid-19 condition REGAIN study, 2024, McGregor+

Basically they proved that people getting a lot of attention are more likely to report feeling better than people who didn't get the attention. I mean, that would be true whether or not the partiipants have a major illness.

Neuroimaging in Functional Neurological Disorder: State of the Field and Research Agenda, 2021, Perez, Carson, Edwards, Hallet, Stone et al

Yeah. They finally sent me the proof yesterday for approval. That was a very problematic process overall but I'm glad it's finally out. In the latest update, they have now published the response to our letter with a link to the pre-print of our letter--to be replaced in a day or two, I assume by the actual proof from the journal. They have also now added the proper citation for our letter to the response. As I mentioned, the...

Neuroimaging in Functional Neurological Disorder: State of the Field and Research Agenda, 2021, Perez, Carson, Edwards, Hallet, Stone et al

So...the production side screwed up and our letter is reportedly being published in a couple of days. However, the editor declined to add the citation for our letter among the ones listed at the end. He said the review of the response is over, and it will be understood from the context that...

Neuroimaging in Functional Neurological Disorder: State of the Field and Research Agenda, 2021, Perez, Carson, Edwards, Hallet, Stone et al

The response is about what I expected. But yes, interestingly, so far the letter itself hasn't been published. Moreover, the letter is mentioned in the first sentence of their response but not included in the list of citations at the end! I've written the journal editor requesting an explanation...
