If they are going to test drugs, it will have to be for at least 2 years to ensure that long-term effects are noted. I think that a number of us with ME, myself included, have found that, for example, some supplements have helped a great deal for a couple of years, and then stopped.
My strength also used to be...strong! I tried arm wrestling with a male friend, who was considerably heavier than me, and he said that I would have won if he hadn't used his extra weight. And I'm under 5 ft tall!
