UK - Resources for help getting food during quarantine and other supermarket related problems

Not sure if this is the right thread, but if not tell me & I'll shift it.... IM in foul mood. Went to local supermarket at about 10.30am. Queues around the car park, fair enough there's another up the road that he prefers but is slightly more expensive. Gets there, parks, queues obediently...

UK - Resources for help getting food during quarantine and other supermarket related problems

I'm with @Wonko. As far as I know fridges & freezers are best left upright for 24 hours after delivery before plugging in (& after it's taken out of it's packaging if you've had to tilt it or lie it on it's side).

The Arc de Siècle: functional neurological disorder during the ‘forgotten’ years of the 20th century, 2020, Stone et al

There's also Siècle des lumières - Where presumably siècle is an age or an era. I think the only enlightenment here is that the author is a bit of a pretentious arse trying to look cleverer than he actually is, attempting to cover the his own mediocrity with fancy language and failing...

Fatigue, Physical Activity, and Mental Health in People Living With Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Fibromyalgia, & in Healthy Controls, 2020, Olive et al

Oh no! I've been lucky then. On every single occasion my vets and dog trainers have gone done the physical health path first. They've been right every time. They didn't ignore psychological wellbeing - when one dog was very sick and in hospital for a week they allowed us in for a visit when...

Fatigue, Physical Activity, and Mental Health in People Living With Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Fibromyalgia, & in Healthy Controls, 2020, Olive et al

Well, that may not suit either. from my experience when an animal has a behaviour or mood change the vets first do a thorough physical. If you want to book an assessment with a good dog behaviourist about a developing behaviour issue they usually insist on a thorough physical check up by the...

Utter sh***...... The only things that have helped me & made my life bearable in the last decades. But then as Michael Sharpe put it they do like to be the only show in town. Each and every one of these individuals is a complete waste of salary.

Resources for help getting food during quarantine and safe handling of food

Ah, ok. That's a shame @JemPD :(. I hadn't realized you saw him leave. Nope, it does sound like a neighbour was the culprit. That's so unpleasant.

Embodied: The psychology of physical sensation (2015) by C. Eccleston

I had this with my usually very good consultant years ago when we were discussing cognitive issues. I explained the usual stuff many of us are familiar with and he immediately said " ah yes problems with concentration ". I disagreed and repeated what I just said and he went "yes, concentration...

Resources for help getting food during quarantine and safe handling of food

I'm wondering @JemPD, if it's possible the delivery driver took them back with him? You only know for sure he walked in with them, not that he left them in your porch. If you hadn't happened to see him you wouldn't have known they'd been delivered and would probably be complaining the company...

Why? Is it lack of access to a printer? I kept my electronic copy and a hard copy (just in case) even though my machine has been backed up (I've had back ups fail before now). Even though I filled in the form electronically I printed it out and sent it via signature required service - that...

The Economist 1843 - Notes on isolation, from those who know it well

It is @Barry. I certainly didn't mean to imply it wasn't. However, two years, believe it or not is nothing in the scheme of things when the scale is in decades rather than years. When I was ill for two years I was still fairly confident that I would get better, surely research would happen...

Embodied: The psychology of physical sensation (2015) by C. Eccleston

This strong urge to stop thing..... Anybody else have issues with that? I find when I have been overdoing it, especially if I overdo a little bit on a few occasions within a shirt period of time, I feel absolutely awful & like I could just drop in the spot, but also a weird compulsion to carry...

The Economist 1843 - Notes on isolation, from those who know it well

I didn't think the bit by the pwME terrible, I have seen much worse but I'm with @ladycatlover on this. I found it annoying - how many adjectives does one small article need? Also I agree that at just two years in she still has a lot to learn about patience, hope - sometimes having too much...

I don't think so - he was in the first season of Fortitude and also in The A Word & I think both were filmed after that.
