Then we have to factor in management.
When I was moderately affected & in the first few years was pain levels were ridiculous, but I was more functional.
Now, as a severe patient, I am simply unable to function at previous levels regardless of how well I manage my condition, but my pain...
I think a lot of 'em have no clue they're simply being "managed". However, there are some people who will be very happy to accept and advertise it.
One of the very many reasons I don't facebook anymore, discussions with people insisting their diagnosis is related to some past trauma. I've...
These apps are a lovely idea, they really are.
I'm still not signing up to them. I have zero trust in the privacy.
I have a very low online presence and yet I have had various apps recommended & forwarded to me from all angles. It's getting very annoying.
This isn't aimed at you @Adrian -...
Exactly - very vague.
As far as I'm concerned, if a shop sells t-shirts, or flowers or Easter Eggs & I go to buy milk, bread & tea then I can't for the life of me see what difference it makes if I also happen to throw in a t-shirt or an Easter Egg.
If someone specifically went out to shop for...
I emailed a complaint to the shop @Adrian. I wasn't critical of the staff per se, but it would appear that the situation in the shop needs to be monitored and enforced by someone. Otherwise what's the point of limiting the number allowed in at any one time & all the queuing round the car park...
Oh, I see, I thought maybe you thought my relative had covid 19. Thank you for letting me know, I don't see that happening here though.
As far as I know, at the moment, care homes, hospices and hospitals aren't allowing visitors, even to patients without covid 19. When we add up the total...
As far as I know DNR simply stands for Do Not Resuscitate on a patient's records. So, in theory, their treatment continues but if the patient deteriorates they wouldn't be placed on a ventilator, have any attempt made to restart their heart. That kind of thing.
A living will is broader I...
Why should you accept it? A DNR is a very personal decision made by the individual and their families in consultation with a doctor. Not something foisted on individuals.
I know this is a bad time to criticise the medical profession but they can't have it both ways.
Foisting DNRs on people...
Not sure why you tagged me? My relative is dying, but was hospitalised for an additional & probably related emergency. Nothing to do with corona virus. However, due to corona virus restrictions in the hospital she can't have visitors. They couldn't even send in her kindle or mobile phone...
Done. It still seemed to leave $100 as default in the text box at the top. Then the selection amounts below. Selecting a default amount didn't amend the $100 in the text box.
I just selected No perk and put the amount I wanted to donate in the text box instead.
Can you remind people maybe...
We invested in one of those foodsaver vacuum yokes.
Pre the pandemic we did a big shop every couple of months and portioned fresh meat etc for the freezer. It works really well for that kind of thing.
I have some of these boxes too. Is it just me or do the lids breed and change size in...
Yeah. Give some people some power and they get carried away.... At the very least I wouldn't be at all surprised if under circumstances such as these there are some who would insist in treatment plans and recommendations.
I've been treated badly enough by docs with no legal power over me.
Nope - at least not according to New Scientist -
I've heard freezing bread changes the chemical bonds between fat and starches and that lower the GI apparently.
I think it would still be a nightmare. Even in a side room you'll get noise and if it's a make shift set up that'll be even noisier.
Inability to control levels of light.
Then there's sensitivity to smell and so on.
Plus diet. It's not that I eat weird stuff. It's just I have to be very...
Maybe it's time to start curbing some of these luxuries anyway given climate change. I can see how being legally forced into quarantine might in certain cases be necessary, but only as one part of an overall strategy.
Freezing mashed spuds works well and you can do various delicious things.
Fry up a little finely chopped onion 'till translucent and defrosted mash & mix through until thoroughly heated.
You could also add in some pre cooked cabbage. I freeze steamed cabbage when I've got too much. Defrost...
