BBC: I made a film from my bed to prove my illness is real - Jen brea

I would add that there would be a problem with extrapolating social data from the US and applying it to different cultures. There is the whole area of social safety net and medical costs difference to most other European cultures. I would predict that this alone would magnify any effects found...

Auditory and visual seizures in my ME brain

Sorry to hear of both of your experiences. Visual agnosia sounds interesting in light of this thread. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Visual_agnosia If you have trouble reading the page, let me know and I'll break it up into smaller paragraphs.

The presence of co-morbid mental health problems in a cohort of adolescents with CFS (2017) Chalder et al.

I was trying to be very generous :D Thank you for the expanded posts you do about papers. I find they tend to make me a little feisty, so don't know how you can go through them.

BBC: I made a film from my bed to prove my illness is real - Jen brea

In my humble opinion, the BBC is so vast that occasionally things slip through the control of those at the top. That is why more controversial regional radio shows and TV programs get a first airing. The telling point is how many things are repeated or appear on the national platforms. Ever...

Seriously craving nuts to eat - why?

I don't no much about anything, but just wanted you to know that I've had a lessening of stomach cramps after making a conscious effort to eat soluble fiber with meals/snacks, and when it is at it's worse, starting with soluble fiber on an empty stomach, as it is less likely to trigger...

Devendorf et al. 2017 Defining and measuring recovery from myalgic encephalomyelitis and chronic fatigue syndrome: the physician perspective

It depends on if they have images turned off, and maybe some kind of Javascript blocking. It will be a minority, but I don't mind adding the link for accessibility reasons :) It might help us with search engine visibility if the words are on the page here, too. I've had a couple of requests...

Esther Crawley talk at TEDxBristol, Thurs 2nd Bristol - "Disrupting Your View Of ME"

My Grandfather was on the beaches at Normandy. His 'combat' training consisted of two rifle shots and one grenade toss. Before he was old enough to join the army, he did U-Boat patrols with a kitchen knife taped to a broom handle. I think that's pretty brave. He would have wanted me to speak up...

[Only mentions CFS] Physical activity buffers fatigue only under low chronic stress (2016) Nater

Thanks Esther. Maybe you could try the revolutionary technique of waiting until after treatment before moving onto rehabilitation?

Thanks Esther, I suppose you could use the same quote about death. How 'interesting'.

Yes, this is why i'm not a lawyer! Getting my torts mixed up with my tortillas as it were :D On an unrelated note, I wonder how Malcolm Hooper views the article.

Thanks, that what I thought too. I understand that in some cases the police or lawyers might caution against naming someone, but I didn't think it would be illegal unless there is an injunction in place. In other words, the sentence has a meaning almost opposite to what we are guided to infer...
