I tried out a projector a few years ago but you have to have the room quite dark for them to work, and I don't want to be in the dark in the daytime. Pity, because it would have been handy!

Thanks! That would be good for an e-reader for people lying in bed but I have a mattress on the floor of my lounge (warmer, lighter, and less depressing than being stuck in my bedroom) and need something floor-standing.

I'm bored out of my skull with that kind of thing. I have to spend hours a day flat and I want to be productive, which I can be if I'm reading.

That tends to be a harder position for reading because I wear glasses and the squash against the side of my face lying down so I tend to hold tension in my body to prevent it. I really need to lie flat.
