Sinus pain - no mucus - and related issues

Glad you're apparently improving. I hope I'm improving, not just getting used to it. There are times when I'm quite with-it - mostly in the evenings, but it varies. I don't know if there's anything I'm doing that's bringing it about. But I must try and improve my state during the day, as...

    Sugar

I hadn't heard of this, but did a search of where I get much of my food from and found sprouted wheat bread and sprouted rye bread. I avoid wheat, rye and other gluten-containing grains, except for Fria which is supposedly gluten-free. I wonder if sprouting makes gluten tolerable for sensitive...

Sinus pain - no mucus - and related issues

Yes, it's a good thing, but I became incapable of filling in forms 2 years ago - suddenly. They didn't make sense any more. From whizzing around on the internet, filling in forms and being active on the net, and selling plants, I became completely incapable. I think I'm very slowly regaining...

    Sugar

Yes - I have things sweetened with xylitol, which to me tastes just the same, but it has many fewer calories. You can use it in drinks, and get chocolate and peppermints sweetened with it, among other things. It's natural.

Sinus pain - no mucus - and related issues

Thanks, @Agapanthus. I can get up the hill once every week or two to the shops, but I'm not very good at viewing things now and tend to forget things! I find it easier to buy things on ebay than in the charity shops usually. To get to the doctors I tend to use taxis nowadays. I used to get...

Sinus pain - no mucus - and related issues

Sorry you're struggling, @Agapanthus. So am I at present - no husband at all, one friend who doesn't really understand and has moved out of reach, but phones every week or two at present, and like many people, I've lost touch with so many. I can't even visit the GP easily, as had to move to a...

ME/CFS Alert - Interview with Michael VanElzakker

I'm not sure whether I still get cold blisters - I think I do occasionally (once or twice a year perhaps?). I very rarely get anything like a cold - haven't done for many years, and if I do I think it's very mild and short-lived.

Radio Food Programme says doctors not taught about food

Did you read the text at the link? I think it makes some good points. With ME diet is especially important, especially for those who are intolerant of gluten and sometimes a lot of other things. Sometimes they can't prepare meals easily either.

    I've gone nocturnal again :(

I was on 5-HTP for about 2 years, I think, but had possible adverse events and stopped. I was on 100 mg/day.

    Collapsed and distended veins

I have it too - have had for a long time. I'm nearly 65 and have had ME for 23 years. Don't know how long my veins have been like this, but it's quite a long time.

My MP (a Tory, after years of LibDems) sometimes replies. Caroline took quite a while, but then I'm not local to her, so she didn't have to reply at all.
