Trying again to post info on the survey I participated in:
https://www.s4me.info/threads/anyone-else-had-a-letter-about-a-covid-testing-study.15725/
I've had a nice reply to my email but the respondent says that I'm already registered (by phone) so she can't help, but I should be contacted in...
I've now had a very-pleasant reply to the email from a female saying:
"If I can be of assistance and register you via this secure email address, please can you give me the following information please:
· Unique Household Id:
· Number of participants
· Number aged...
Yes - my message on the
anyone-else-had-a-letter-about-a-covid-testing-study.15725/
thread seems relevant:
"I just phoned and registered, but at the end I couldn't string a sentence together or make any sense! I asked them to note my email address and also to phone after 1700 (I am going to...
Is this an error, on p.6?
"Despite GWAS being expensive, sales of medications that have benefitted from this method
already exceed its costs (32), and these are declining rapidly."
Is it the costs that are declining?
Also the tedious use of the term "people suffering from chronic fatigue..." (no 'syndrome', although CFS is of course not the term favoured by most sufferers).
I'm hoping to use them at ASDA online, as I get a lot of my groceries and cat food there. I've stopped using Amazon as it was getting too confusing. I use ebay, but they're not included in the list.
I just phoned and registered, but at the end I couldn't string a sentence together or make any sense! I asked them to note my email address and also to phone after 1700 (I am going to be phoned by someone in the next 2 weeks).
The reply from the email also gave another web address with more info: https://www.ons.gov.uk/surveys/informationforhouseholdsandindividuals/householdandindividualsurveys/covid19infectionsurveycis
This sounds different from the one I have received - it involves nose and throat swabs collected by a 'study worker' but carried out by oneself at a safe distance. Someone who completes "all 16 visits over a year" will get £425!
So I am trying to register, but having used the email address I...
Sorry you haven't had any reply to this. There are other threads here about IVIG, including one I have recently posted: https://www.s4me.info/threads/bbc-world-service-programme-on-senses-woman-who-lost-balance-when-closed-eyes-etc.16097/
but having read another post...
I have had this reply:
"I am afraid that the case highlighted is a very different condition from ME, with direct immune attack on the nerves and spinal cord related to lung cancer. The infusion mentioned is IVIG. To the best of my knowledge, there is no evidence of its utility in ME."
I have...
I am intrigued to know what the treatment was for the loss of balance, so have sent the following message to him:
"Hi,
I am a long-term sufferer from myalgic encephalomyelitis, which in many cases includes problems with balance, including tendency to lose balance with eyes closed.
I was...
I thought this might interest some people - it does me, and the neurologist is called Guy Leschziner.
From today's programme, starting at about 1300 and finishing at about 1756, is an item on a patient (now sadly deceased) who, after treatment for cancer, developed problems balancing and...
@Brian Hughes, could you clarify this bit?
"And COVID-19 would never be transmitted if these people thought about or perceived their situation in ways that naturally encouraged pro-social behaviour."
I don't know whether it's just my post-breakfast lack of comprehension!
This is something of an understatement:
"Negative stereotypes about the illness still pervade mainstream media and the medical establishment, often leaving patients embarrassed."
