Jen Brea comments on Esther Crawley's behaviour

I would not send anything to Bristol, it will be spun as harassment. They are not innocent victims here, they are enablers of her lies and seem to take any opportunity to bolster them and would likely use us to do it. Arguing the science is not going to get us very far, most media outlets today...

Jen Brea comments on Esther Crawley's behaviour

I've made a practice of not publicly calling out Esther Crawley in part because the issues we face are so much bigger than any one researcher. 26 tweets Embed Jennifer Brea @jenbrea Follow Read on Twitter And because I think I still entertain a fantasy of one day sitting down to lunch with...

Buzzfeed News - A Controversial Therapy For ME Has Led To Claims Of Death Threats, Harassment, And Pseudoscience

Indeed, she has hit a needed lever here, public awareness and education as advocacy. I noticed that too, he is amazingly good at tearing down alternative facts (also known as lies). Very true, though we need more prongs, as many as we can muster. So far she is made of teflon, she has done...

Buzzfeed News - A Controversial Therapy For ME Has Led To Claims Of Death Threats, Harassment, And Pseudoscience

You will get no argument from me, i am very thorough but one can't predict the future. That said i am reminded of the expression Fortune favours the bold. When you want to achieve great successes you have to take strong (well thought out) action

Buzzfeed News - A Controversial Therapy For ME Has Led To Claims Of Death Threats, Harassment, And Pseudoscience

I didn't say i want to be famous but people seeing what life with ME/CFS is like seems to be more effective then medical advocacy

Buzzfeed News - A Controversial Therapy For ME Has Led To Claims Of Death Threats, Harassment, And Pseudoscience

Very well done :) That is a great idea though, Make Ester more famous so her house of cards receives more scrutiny and more weight pushing down on her lies. It seems more publicity is really the answer for ME/CFS research, Jen is awesome!

Let's talk wheelchairs and mobility scooters

I saw someone using this a while back, i asked him about it and it looks very impressive and he was very happy with it, It is pricey though :( (but should need no car upgrades to transport) https://www.travelscoot.com/

Buzzfeed News - A Controversial Therapy For ME Has Led To Claims Of Death Threats, Harassment, And Pseudoscience

I am reminded of someone who said if Republicans claimed the earth is flat the media would report it as, Is the earth flat or round, both sides have a point.

    Insecure Attachment and Unexplained Illness, A therapist's map - 21 April 2018

Insecure attachment is a real thing, its connection to illness, i'm just going to facepalm now instead of ranting :emoji_face_palm:

    Esther Crawley

It depends, when dealing with "classic" abusers its been found they often escalate their abuses out of "fear" and justify it as they are the ones being persecuted by those they are abusing, as if its a dog eat dog world, on some level their actions show how terrible the world is to them hence...

The Courier Mail: Australian scientists prove CFS is real and have discovered a test for it

I'm not saying they are the only ones, i used them as an example of a more reputable team (and i acknowledge their faults), but there are others to choose from, and some that i would not choose like this Australian one. I would like to see more good scientists then we have today come into ME/CFS...

(Not a recommendation) Alastair Miller on CFS

I wouldn't be so sure, they probably complain less because they got frustrated and gave up trying to get treatment. Suffering in silence may be a positive outcome to those who don't offer much else :emoji_face_palm:

The Courier Mail: Australian scientists prove CFS is real and have discovered a test for it

I keep saying i agree, i just don't like this repeated grandiose claim Australian team but i get blowback from that view. If they do discover a treatment i will recant and sing their praises I would like to put this to bed personally, i don't like how this team does things, its a consequenceless...

The Courier Mail: Australian scientists prove CFS is real and have discovered a test for it

I keep saying i agree, we need many groups working on this, we don't know who will strike paydirt. But my unpopular view is that we should scrutinize who we support when there is so little money to go around. Fortunately for everyone who disagrees my view is not the one followed.

Unrest gets a mention in "The best documentries of 2017" @ Vox

Its a long article, most of it having nothing to do with ME/CFS, but quoted https://www.vox.com/2017-in-review/2017/12/27/16808872/best-documentaries-2017-post-truth-fiction-jane-jonbenet-ex-libris-inconvenient-sequel
