NICE guideline review: A list of appointees to the ME/CFS Guideline Committee has now been published

Given that differences in opinion and interpretation have been fractious in the past and a coordinated unified response is required from all ME patient / charity bodies, can a single statement be produced? Divide and conquer may otherwise reinforce the current scenario Where are @Russell...

A European Research Agenda for Somatic Symptom Disorders, Bodily Distress Disorders, and Functional Disorders, 2018, van der Feltz-Cornelis et al

I think @dxrevisionwatch explained it previously, and her warnings were that just this scenario would arise Edit - as posted by @Sarah above

NICE guideline review: A list of appointees to the ME/CFS Guideline Committee has now been published

Do all representatives have to be British? If you were looking for those with relevant knowledge and experience then choice is very limited in UK. It must be very weird to be outside UK looking in. Do NICE not realise what an act of self harm this constitutes?

NICE guideline review: A list of appointees to the ME/CFS Guideline Committee has now been published

There is very little info given on the webpage and it has a decidedly positive spin which does not seem to relate to comments folliwing on this thread. I have requested that they list the committee members on twitter.

Retirement may be the get out. This is Britain, as @dave30th has found out, things are done differently. When there has been a cock up , a huge degree of face saving is involved.

Blood test ranges and low blood volume

Can anyone advise what the effect on " normal range" results low blood volume would have? For FBC, liver function panel and homocysteine I have done a quick google but not much comes up Could this be a factor in pwme tests being read as normal when things are far from this? Our GP is...

CD24 expression and B cell maturation shows a novel link with energy metabolism: potential implications for patients with ME/CFS, 2018, Mensah et al

I agree that ME is the body running in an " energy conservation mode". Low T3 would also point to this. Low magnesium/ calcium issues affects cellular pumps, and if ATP is involved in distress purnergic signalling it may compound issues. How each person downregulates, and how this is modulated...

Dr Alan Moreau's new, low-stress protocol for provoking PEM.[Thoughts?]

My daughter can inly tolerate 10 mins for neck and shoulder massage. Initial 15 mins try was too much and took a day in bed to get some energy back, so this would seem feasible to me

Poll on how supplements affect you - can see results

Magnesium makes a difference, if it' s missed then its noticeable. Milk thistle and ubiquinol also seem to do something.
