News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

About long covid in children. Paywalled article in a Swedish newspaper.

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

It's individual, not groups. ETA: Sorry, that could have been clearer. Stora Sköndal's is individual. Bragée's is mainly individual too, but they do offer some group based sessions such as talks on dietary advice etc, I believe.

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

I'm sure any one of the forum members who are or have been a patient there can give a better answer than I can. My impression is that they don't at all have the same focus on experimental treatments or specific hypotheses. They seem "slow and steady", "tried and tested", "doing important...

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

I've just read the cover letter/invitation that has now been sent out to potential study participants (ETA: ie people who have heard about the study, for example read about it on Bragée's website or on social media, and contacted the clinic for more info). This bit caught my attention:

BPS attempts at psychologizing Long Covid

Opionion piece in a Swedish newspaper today  It's a response to this (posted in the long covid thread last week): Rehab efter covid viktigare än verkningslösa läkemedel https://www.gp.se/debatt/rehab-efter-covid-viktigare-%C3%A4n-verkningsl%C3%B6sa-l%C3%A4kemedel-1.42656467 Google...

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

Will it be a representative sample? I don't know enough to comment on the finer details of the methodology etc, but I really hope they have somehow found a way to make sure to compensate for the fact that pwME in Sweden are aware of the general differences between the two ME specialist clinics...

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

Yes, you're right, both Gottfries and Stora Sköndal had a biomedical approach, Gotahälsan too. Gotahälsan closed down their ME clinic years ago, Gottfries sadly had to close down last year, and Stora Sköndal is closing down 31 May 2021  Thanks, yes I shared links to the most recent Bragée...

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

Re: interoceptive signalling. I dug up some old notes of mine, from back when I first heard about Bragée's hypothesis, some years ago. In case anyone is interested, the following is some of what Google told me. The very first thing I noticed was that "interoceptive signalling" returns lots of...

Paul Garner on Long Covid and ME/CFS - BMJ articles and other media.

Please don't jinx it! We haven't seen the final version of the NICE guideline yet... we can't be sure he doesn't know something we don't.

News about Long Covid including its relationship to ME/CFS 2020 to 2021

Lately I've often seen brain fog being used as a synonym for "mom brain" too, meaning being forgetful, absent-minded, extremely sensitive/experiencing extreme emotionality... I, too, am concerned that PEM is losing its original meaning :(

    Covid-19 vaccines and vaccinations

I just got an email from my municipality offering me vaccine :nailbiting: I think it's because I'm registered as a home healthcare user? There was no additional info, so I have sent them an email with a lot of questions (which vaccine/make, when, home visit or not, did they consult with my...

Open Cervicocranial dysfunction, neuroinflammation and infection in ME/CFS compared to healthy subjects, Bragée & Bertilson [MEPRO study]

Do we know for sure that these are truly biomedical hypotheses, though? (Genuine question, I'd really like to know.) I'm asking in part because we know this ME center was (is?) also running an ACT study (according to the research plan aiming to correct so called fear avoidance behaviour through...
