Who was it that said being in support groups leads to poor outcome?

This one is widely used by the psychosomatics in Norway, when they want to point out that there is a harmful “ME society” on net https://www.researchgate.net/publication/269394738_United_We_Stand_Framing_Myalgic_Encephalomyelitis_in_a_Virtual_Symbolic_Community

Who said: Labeling patients with ME or CFS keeps them sick

I have not checked this out, but Vogt use this study to argue that believing it is physical make the prognoses worse Cairns, R. & Hotopf, M. A systematic review describing the prognosis of chronic fatigue syndrome. Occupational Medicine 2005;55:20–31 Edit; and this Barsky, AJ. The Iatrogenic...

    Cyclophosphamide

Yeah, that is something to wonder about. But there are examples where low dose does work for some people with ME, like low dose nalthrexone, and gammanorm which is low dose IVIG as I understand it.

Well, when one is certain of that the horrible ME activist are the root of all evil, Laruns words are only just.

Yes some did, but it seemed that they didn’t know who and what Cochrane is, they thought it was an ordinary scientific debate between Larun and others. And that’s kind of not the case.

    News from Scandinavia

He did that two days ago, reported both on Facebook and Twitter, how awful it was that even the Cochrane Institute now caved into pressure from activists. That there was no bright future for Science. I commented a lot on his Facebook, answering both him and others calmly, patient, and with lot...

Cochrane ME/CFS GET review temporarily withdrawn

An excellent piece written by Sigmund Olafsen. What is interesting now, is if someone replies. Some years ago, this would probably trigger some articles about how misguided the patients are, not knowing their best interest. My guess now is that eventually Henrik Vogt will respond in that way...

Cochrane ME/CFS GET review temporarily withdrawn

@andypants and @rvallee I have seen it had inpact on Facebook users too, a lot of prejudice coming to the surface. I was trying to stop/argue the worst misinterpretations, but got blocked and muted. This is on Norwegians FB pages. I don’t know if any of that could be used anywhere; but I have...

A general thread on the PACE trial!

Is this really true? Does PACE show that GET reduses PEM? Sounds strange....as some of the other cfs_research says

And yet PACE found that GET reduced PEM. The difference is between exercise that is benecifial to patients, and that which...
