CDC states Lipkin pulled the video due to it containing unpublished information

Genome-wide analysis identifies molecular systems and 149 genetic loci associated with income, 2019, Hill et al

I tried to look at the UK Biobank but I cannot find an income trait so cannot really tell if this is BS. However I did find a good topic to write a paper on - Number of cars in Household. Definitely something very significant happening on Chromosome 20 - dots are p-value < 0.0001 so must be...

Raeka Aiyar, gave a talk at the Stanford Symposium in September titled "Revolutionizing Disease Research with Stem Cells". It seems a pretty well established technique. https://www.omf.ngo/community-symposium-3/

USA: Center for Solutions for ME/CFS - news and updates from Columbia University's NIH funded center, Lipkin

I remember that he was lobbying hard for funding before the centers were announced. I remember Ron saying a minimum of $5M a year for 5 years was really needed to support a team to do the work - and this number would approximately tie in with the 20% or so number Lipkin quoted.. Also before...

USA: Center for Solutions for ME/CFS - news and updates from Columbia University's NIH funded center, Lipkin

Shoot. I should have grabbed the full transcript when I was at it, but the weekend was really rough so I took a shortcut. This is all I have I guess the above might have been slightly controversial! Did anyone else manage to capture the full transcript?

USA: Center for Solutions for ME/CFS - news and updates from Columbia University's NIH funded center, Lipkin

In the Q&A Lipkin made a point to state that the NIH funded research centers only received 15-20% of the funding they were promised. This means they can only do small discovery studies. This chip looks very interesting. It's based on a previous chip that costs $3,500 but they reconfigured it...

A systematic review of natural killer cells profile and cytotoxic function in ME/CFS. Eaton-Fitch et al. 2019

@Michiel Tack Another datapoint in testing. From what I can see on the web most NK Cell laboratory tests require ambient level blood within 30 hours of being drawn. I found this link for an NK cyctotoxicity test that requires fresh blood within 24hours of being drawn, and will reject frozen...

Ron Davis latest: more evidence of "something in the blood" (Simon M blog)

I'd also like to point out that Alain Moreau presented at the Stanford Symposium in September and at the NIH conference in April about his use of the CellKey cellular impedance analyser and how he was testing compounds and measuring impedance changes in Jurkat cells soaked in patient plasma. So...

Ron Davis latest: more evidence of "something in the blood" (Simon M blog)

If I remember right from @Andy's Q&A video with Karl Morten he said he would add an experiment to his wish list to look at cellular respiration using the same salt solution + plasma + cells to see if oxygen consumption differences can be seen.

Ron Davis latest: more evidence of "something in the blood" (Simon M blog)

There is a bit more info on the current situation in @Ben H talk that @Sly Saint posted and included a YouTube transcript https://www.s4me.info/threads/me-cfs-research-update-november-2019-bedside-chat-with-ben-h-and-ron-davis.12771/ Rahim the researcher who "owns" the design of the nanoneedle...

“Investigating ME/CFS at the intersection of the nervous and immune systems.” Speaker: Dr. Michael VanElzakker Oct 26 2019

This is the picture at 31:22 for those that haven't watched. It's a breath holding challenge. Healthy control at top vs 6 patients. Patients are very different.

“Investigating ME/CFS at the intersection of the nervous and immune systems.” Speaker: Dr. Michael VanElzakker Oct 26 2019

That really stood out to me too! In the second Q&A video he discusses how they are making sure to have well qualified patients in their studies. They are funnelling patients through one doctor only so that they are properly diagnosed, and pipelining the patients through the different studies...

PEM for those who are, or were, mild sufferers, how would you describe it?

Yep, brilliant list - the pattern should be important. Count me in as being like this for many years in my mild state without meeting ICC or CCC until I deteriorated after implementing increased exercise at doctors advice.

    Open Medicine Foundation (OMF) fundraising

US tax payers that donate to a US charity can claim that on their tax form thus reducing the taxes they pay the IRS. Each country has different tax laws. Having a local charity may allow you to take advantage of those laws which you probably can't do if you donate to a charity registered in...

Livestream: Ron Davis to speak at Columbia University

This is the slide showing the two tests that seem to be new - see items 5 and 6. I don't believe any data from these two have been described in his talks.

Distinct Cerebrospinal Fluid Proteomes Differentiate Post-Treatment Lyme Disease from CFS, 2011, Schutzer et al.

Just to point out that there were 43 CFS patients in the pooled sample and only 14 patients in the individual sample group. So not really enough patients in the individual sample group to draw meaningful conclusions, especially if the instrument is near the detection limit with the amount of...

Open Tracking Peripheral Immune Cell Infiltration of the Brain in Central Inflammatory Disorders Using [Zr-89]Oxinate-4-labeled Leukocytes

Duh, just realised the title of this thread shows [Zr-89]. So I bet it is the same study, with the ME/CFS analysis funded by ME Research UK.
