Some things have thresholds, below a certain amount is one response, sometimes a non-response, over that is another due to changes in molecular switches. This might have that kind of effect. However in the case of some chemical sensitivities, it looks like under a certain amount has no abnormal...
Not just sicker but ignored and misunderstood by family and medical professionals, facing a debilitated future in which activity makes things worse, and there is no certainty. Anxiety should be more common than it is.
I am sure there will be fascinating things here once we start probing. The reason I am interested in African Sleeping Sickness is the finding that Ron Davis and team made that our micro RNA is a match for it, and the symptoms are often ME symptoms ... they sleep, but mostly and badly during the...
I was wondering the same thing when I first saw the report. I was also wondering why it had not been identified, though now they are saying its Norovirus?
Protein containing EVs correlating with CRP does not necessarily mean that CRP is elevated. Its often not as we know. But if EV is elevated, and it further correlates with CRP so that those who do have high CRP have very high EV, then the correlation is maintained. If this is more likely in more...
My understanding is that ME lesions have been shown to be transitory. We have them, and sometimes many, but their locations are nto stable. This was observed in the 80s, with I think a radiologist Cheney was using saying something about how our brains looked just like HIV dementia brains. I am...
It sounds plausible to me. In any case this exposure of sites when configuration changes has been speculated in a range of antibody targets. We should indeed be investigating this more. Not only might a configuration change expose the target, but a lack of change may allow antibody making B...
I had this in my hands in the mid-80s through early 2000s. I do think its ME related. For what I had the only solution is pacing. You might have something different but if its the same then resting the affected areas more, pacing their use, is important.
Not me!!! :nailbiting:
;)
Its worse than just those things. Koalas need large habitats and move around. Most remaining habitats are divided by roads, which are dangerous, though a few have ways for the koalas to cross. They are endangered for a range of reasons.
If they really were the...
I think this misses what I currently see as the point of the study. We have initial information on preload failure. As I see this the study is to get more information on the failure, including potential treatments, to find out which might be more likely to work with ME. The results of this kind...
Its nice to see the follow-up to the invasive CPET under way or at least consideration. This really does need to be investigated, if for no other reason it gives us another objective way to evaluate patients.
